Chapter 24: Children

A few days later, Buffer's POV

"Dream! Get back here! I got something for you!"I say, chasing after him through the halls

"Nooo! I have to go Buffer!"He says

"It'll be quick! Don't make me force you to take it! It's for your own good!"I tell him

"Good luck with that, Buffer. Boss says that it's a skullache just to get him to take medicine for his own good."Dust says as I run past him

I sigh, slowing in my tracks.

"Fine."I say, snapping my fingers

A buffering chip pops up between my fingers and I toss it, pinging Dream in the head and sticking quickly. He is forced to slow down and I catch up to him at long last. I take out a necklace with a golden sun symbol at the center of the string and put it on him.

"Given what has happened to you lately, I thought it would be best to code one up for your safety. You're welcome."I say, removing the chip from him and walking away

I continue on my way around the castle to find Killer, Horror and Dust to give them enchanted items for their protection in the same way that my gift protects Error. Speaking of which, I have to return it to him now that I upgraded it. I search the entire castle for him but can't locate him. I find his crown resting on the table beside the bed.

"Has anyone seen Error?"I ask

"He was last in his room as far as I know."Dust says

"I saw Killer drag him out to check on something in another AU."Horror says, glancing into the room

"What are you talking about? I just woke up."Killer says

It is silent for a few moments.

"DAD!"Horror shouts, running to Nightmare's room

Slam!

"WAKE UP!"Horror exclaims

Killer and Dust quickly follow to explain and I could hear Nightmare grumble as he wakes up. Dream walks up beside me and opens a portal.

"Can you come with me? I have to deal with Nim."He says

I glance at him, tilting my head confusedly.

"Why even go to that troublemaker?"I ask

He shows a note that reads:"You cannot just leave. You have a job and can't become one of THEM. I already handled that X boy, now I am handling a glitch that owes me. Who else do you want me to get before you return to your senses? You know where to find me.-Nim"

I frown, seeing how it upsets him as well.

"I'll join you."I say

We walk through, finding Nim on the other side.

"Nim, what did you do with Error? And I swear if you try anything to harm any of them, that I will-"Dream begins

"Oh relax. He is just repaying me something that he has owed me for a long time. He knows it too and has stalled despite my reminders. He is currently with Destinia to be tested on. And I will continue to do everything I must to put you back in your place."Nim says

"What..?"Dream says

Nim steps forward, only to be shot five times by Dream who got unsettled by the sudden movement. I know from Error's complaints exactly what he means.

"Dream, I think it's obvious what Nim means regarding Error....You might be getting a few nephews or nieces..."I say

"Correct! I am getting the grandchildren I desire! Though of course Destinia isn't sure if they're meant to be together so they're seeing who the kids would look best depending on who he ends up with. Some code mixing with checmicals and his soul seems enough for the job to be done. I'm eager to see the results."Nim says
