Chapter 84: Masterpiece Activated

Error's POV a week later

I sit at the kitchen counter, munching on an apple. Killer glances over as he walks in, seeing the small pile of apples beside my left hand and a bunch of apple cores to my right.

"Is this your new chocolate addiction?"He asks

I shrug, knowing for the past two days why I have been acting like this. Well beyond my suspicions of the symptoms.

"JuSt a NeW cRaViNg."I say with a shrug.

"Interesting. Trying to keep a doctor away?"He asks with a chuckle.

I chuckle, shaking my head as he proceeds to start cooking some pancakes.

"No, bUt i dId sEe tHe dOc yEsTeRdAy aFtEr BlUe aDvIsEd mE tO."I say

He nods, focusing on the pancakes more.

I put the apples away aside from a handful of them and put the apple cores in a basket. I step through to FarmTale, leaving the apple cores in a basket that Horror put out. He likes planting trees so he requests that we bring the apple cores or seeds instead of just throwing them out into trash. I return home and smile, sitting as the rest of the gang takes their seats. I munch on the remaining apples and I smile. Nighty walks out as I pour cat food into the cat bowls. I kiss him on the cheek as the pancakes get dished out and he is still waking up. He smiles and I set the apples beside the pancakes on my plate, digging into the pancakes instead. He glances over, noticing it.

"Okay, I've seen you have chocolate with your pancakes, but when were you into apples with pancakes?"He asks

"JuSt a crAvInG."I say

I smile at him as he starts to dig into his breakfast.

I'll tell him today now that it is confirmed...And the tests say that the baby will survive. Seeing his reaction will be adorable.

Then I sense some trouble within the AUs and sigh, knowing that only Ink would suddenly cause this much trouble. I finish my food and open a portal.

Of course, something has to ruin it.

"AU sHiT iS hApPeNiNg AgAiN. PrObaBlY iNk. I wiLl g0 hAnDlE iT aNd bE bAcK sOoN."I say

"I'll come with!"Dust says, leaping up from his seat

I glance at him and smirk, knowing that he has grown antsy with how quiet it has been without trouble lately. I nod and we walk through the portal. Within minutes we are busy in battle with Ink to keep him from meddling with existing AUs to make new ones. Not that Dust is complaining. He seems to enjoy being back in battle again the same way a kid would be going to a park. He took the lead on attacks as I held back a bit more out of concern for myself. Don't want to be caught in the crossfire or targeted for Ink's schemes or idiocy. Besides, Dust is really going wild with his attacks and not holding back.

I follow them through the AU, firing strings or attacks to try to help Dust pin him down. Then I try to fix what Ink breaks in the AU. Out of nowhere, two hands grab me, shoving me through a portal. I get shoved head-first into a pile of pillows. I dig myself out, finding myself on a soft bed and I see a portal shut.

Where the hell am I?

A little hologram appears beside me, looking like Probe.

"Hello, ERROR. I am BetaProbe. If you are seeing me, that means that PROBE has activated his masterpiece. You are currently in what he calls your EL DORADO. It is a paradise where all your needs are cared for, but you cannot leave and nobody can get out. With the club's help, it has been made with all your interests in mind to make sure you are comfy and satisfied in this secure space. The code is reinforced to the point where PROBE cannot even hack it himself if he were ever forced to. Outside the reinforced walls is an endless maze full of traps for anyone who dares to seek harm for you."The robotic says

I groan, shaking my head.

"ThIs Is nOT wHaT i mEaNt wHeN I sAiD t0 joIn a g0oD cOmmUnItY!"I say, shaking my head.

"Let me explain. SHATTERED and SHARD still believed that PROBE is siding with them and planned to use him in their plan. They want to break NIGHTMARE using those close to him and his most sensitive desires. You specifically became a target to do so and wanted to get you when you're most vulnerable. They were going to break you into serving SHATTERED and even planned to have PROBE hack you. This plan would be started when they sent PROBE a signal, which he got last week if I'm correctly coded. But PROBE won't let that happen after all that you've done for him. PROBE won't let them break you. So he made the strongest code ever in this place. I will appear again with updates so just relax. You're safe now."He says before fading away.

Well that's just great....Guess I'm going to be here a while...

I lay back on the pillows, shaking my head. Then I feel a strong, sudden beat. I summon my soul and grin when I see the smaller one beating, finally at an actual rhythm that's healthy and noticeable. Just like the doc said he would be...I sigh with relief.

"GuEsS I hAvE tO wAiT a bIt lOnGer tO shArE tHe neWs."I say softly

Meanwhile

Dust finally sends Ink running for his life, fleeing through a puddle from the AU. Dust glances around, having noticed that Error wasn't behind him. He would've searched but he focused on keeping Ink in his sight so the soulless freak doesn't harm Error. He wanders back the way he came, careful not to make a sound that would attract any other threats. He finds Error's crown laying on the ground, tipped on its side. He picks it up, then glances around.

"Dad...?"He calls out hesitantly

Woo! Well here ends the sequel but the story hasn't ended! I already have begun the "Threequel" or the third part of the story!
