In the Detention Center, (Y/N) and Maya were still happily chatting away, having forgotten to keep track of the time a long time ago.
Maya: And then the Steel Samurai was all like...
A thought suddenly crossed Maya's mind as she cut herself off from talking.
Maya: Oh wait! That's going into spoiler territory! Whoops!
(Y/N): Don't worry, I don't mind spoilers too much.
Maya: What? You're crazy! Spoilers completely ruin the fun and the excitement! I'm not gonna tell you!
(Y/N): But you left me out right before the good part!
Maya: I know! I'm sorry, but I gotta cut you off here! It's for your own good, (Y/N)!
(Y/N): Agh...
A door opens as the two turn their heads towards it. Phoenix enters the room, waving at the both of them. They all smile at each other.
Phoenix: Hey, (Y/N). Maya. I hope I'm not interrupting something.
(Y/N): Hm? No, you're good. (Just what does he mean by that?)
Maya: Oh, it's alright, Mr. Wright! We were just finishing up talking about something.
(Y/N): Yeah, we...
(Y/N) stops mid-sentence as he notices a bright red mark on the side Phoenix's jaw.
(Y/N): Are you okay? What's with your jaw?
Phoenix rubs his jaw, still a bit sore from the punch.
Phoenix: Oh, that. I got punched.
(Y/N) and Maya's eyes widen as they look at each other, then back to Phoenix, who looked back at them nonchalantly.
(Y/N): What?!
Maya: Punched?!
Phoenix: Redd White punched me while we were talking.
Maya: Aren't you going to press charges or something? You're a lawyer! You can do that, right?
Phoenix: I could, but it'd be a bit hard to prove. It'd be his word against mine, and I'm inclined to believe they'd take his side.
(Y/N): Agh, if I was there, I could've been a witness. Sorry, Mr. Wright.
Phoenix: Hey, don't worry about it. Let's just focus on solving the case and proving Maya's innocence. Ready to go?
