Chapter 14 Four Year's Done

Four year's down the line and they were about to graduate from university. Sally and Tessa had become an item at that time. Tessa had taken her home for quite a few home visits. Mariah was not around when she did that, luckily. Devon and Mariah were going great guns too. She had brought him home lots of times too. To spend time with her mom and dad. Cassie had only been home once when he was there with her sister. She told her friend Crystal all about him. And Crystal had told her all about Sally. But neither sister had told Tessa or Mariah, about the situation. They don't need to know said Cassie to Crystal one day. I think you are right there said Crystal. I don't want to be here when they find out about one another's love conquests. I know that our sisters like one another said, Cassie. Because I heard mom talking about it to your mom a long time ago. Yeah, I remember you telling me all about it. Wasn't it after the end-of-year concert or something? Yes, it was, good memory said Cassie. It's a shame you can't graduate with us. Crystal laughed. Yeah, I've always been two years behind you lot, she said sadly.

But at least we got to spend some university time together. When I joined you at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. It's been great fun. It has hasn't it? I've enjoyed your company. But you have lots of friends. You will be fine without me. Also, Cassie said we will catch up when you come home for a break at the end of the semester. And you'll be there for my graduation. I wouldn't miss it said Crystal smiling. I guess we will both be going to our sister one's too? said, Cassie. Most definitely said Crystal. Luckily there not all on the same day. So that's why I could come to your's and Tessa's one in New York. I think my parents have already booked the trip. Yeah, mine also said Cassie. Mariah graduates before me. So we're going to Los Angeles first, then coming back for mine. Oh, so does that mean Mariah will be attending yours? asked Crystal. Yes, I guess so. Why? said Cassie. It will just be nice to see her said, Crystal. Tessa doesn't graduate until after your and Mariah's graduation. So you don't have to worry about her turning up. Oh great, that is such a relief said, Cassie. I didn't want them confronting one another at mine. Oh no, that wouldn't be good at all said Crystal.

Hi said Sharon to Gwen as she came into the coffee shop. Hi said Gwen, you got time for a chat? Of course, said Sharon. Go grab a seat. Do you want your usual? Err, can I have an Americano instead? I think I need the extra oomph this morning said Gwen heading out to the patio, so they could have more privacy. Sharon put the coffee's down on the table and sat down opposite Gwen. First off, nice to see you said Sharon smiling. Second, are you okay? Sort of said Gwen sounding a bit off. I've just realized, that four years have flown by, and our daughters are about to graduate. Well, not Crystal obviously she added in a fluster. They are said Sharon. I can't quite believe it myself. They will be going out into this big wide world of ours. Are you going to Tessa's graduation in New York? Yes of course said Gwen. Blake and I made sure we would be not touring when she graduated so that we could go as a family. Crystal is coming too. Is she going to be there for Cassie's? I know she would want her to be there said Sharon. Oh, she'll be there. Mariah and Cassie's graduations are before Tessa's said Gwen. We'll be heading for New York about a week later.

Is Mariah coming home to GC after she graduates? Yes I think that's the plan at the moment said Sharon. She found out about two years ago, that Devon is related to the Hamilton Winters company. He didn't want to tell Mariah at first, because he thought she'd only date him because he was wealthy. Oh, my said Gwen a little shaky. I know that name. How do you know it? questioned Sharon. Err, I think it's the company that has just signed Tessa, to its new record label said Gwen. This means Tessa will be meeting Devon at some point. Oh god! Said Sharon that could be a bit tricky. Especially as Tessa knows nothing about Devon and Mariah being together. Well, it could said Gwen. But it will be even more so, by the fact that Sally is coming back with Tessa. Because she has just been employed by your husband's company Dark Horse. Geez said Sharon taking a breath. I guess we just have to wait for the fireworks then? Mind you, they might have grown up in the last four years, and take no notice of one another. Both women took big gulps of their coffee. I just want them, to finally clear the air between them said Gwen.
