Chapter 17 First Encounter.

Oh my god said, Sharon. Mariah told me the same thing. Wow! said Gwen. Well, at least they told the same story. Tessa also knows about Devon too. I let it slip out. Sharon looked embarrassed. What's up? asked Gwen. I told Mariah about Sally too. It just came out, while we were talking. Sharon and Gwen both laughed. What are we like said Sharon. While telling Tessa's side of the story, Gwen had left out the part where Tessa had said I think I'm in love with her! Sharon had also left out the part where Mariah, had said the kiss was the best she'd ever had and it was like fireworks going off. And that she thinks she has feelings for Tessa. Well, I guess the girls are going to have to figure things out, without us interfering. They will meet Sally and Devon eventually, now that they both know they'll all be working in Genoa City. I'm sure it will be a bit weird for both of them. Especially seeing one another after all this time. Oh to be a fly on the wall when that happens said Sharon. Oh I agree said Gwen.

Tessa spent the time off catching up with Lola. She was home for two of the weeks Tessa had off before she started her singing career at Hamilton Winters. Lola was eager to know if Tessa had said anything about her kiss with Mariah to anyone yet. And did she still feel like Mariah was still her number-one choice? Even though Lola knew that Tessa was with Sally now, and had been for a while. Funny you should ask said Tessa. Oh, do tell me said Lola getting all excited. Don't keep me in suspense a minute longer. Tessa laughed. I'm so glad you are invested in my love life said Tessa still chuckling to herself. Well somebody has to be said, Lola. And I'm the only one, apart from Mariah that knows you kissed her at this point. True said Tessa. But you're not alone anymore! Really? Oh, that's great. Who did you tell? I was brave enough to tell my mom after I saw Mariah at her bedroom window looking at me as I arrived home from university. And all the things I feel for her, came rushing back. Wow! That was very brave of you said Lola a little astonished that Tessa had finally, let the cat out of the back so to speak.

Yeah, it was, wasn't it? I just woke up from a nap, not long after I got home. I went down to the kitchen to get some coffee and I ended up helping mom with dinner. And it all just came out in one go. I even told her, I thought I was in love with Mariah. Are you sure? quizzed Lola. I think so yes. I know I don't feel the same way about Sally. I mean, I like Sally. But she's definitely not going to be my end game! I do know that much. And I told my mom that too. I also know she told my dad and sister what I had said. So they know the story now as well as you obviously. I'm just so glad you were finally able to tell your family, what happened that night. It must be a relief, they finally know and you don't have to keep it a secret from them anymore. I must admit, it was a big weight lifted off of me. I was so washed out after explaining it all to Mom, that I got her to tell Dad and Crystal. I just didn't have the energy to repeat it all. Aren't Crystal and Cassie best friends? asked Lola. Aren't you scared Crystal will tell Cassie? Or at least let slip? 

Err, well yeah. But mom told me, she'd asked Crystal to promise not to tell Cassie anything. Just in case Mariah had not said anything to her family yet. Your mom's friends with Mariah's mom though. Surely, they must have talked about it. Lola was pressing for answers. Do you know what? I have no idea if they have chatted about us. Mom has not said a word to me if she has. I got the impression when I talked to her, that she and Sharon knew for a long time, since we were kids. That Mariah and I liked each other. And when we had the falling out before we entered high school. And we weren't talking to one another, Sharon decided before we set off for university, we should clear the air between us. So she hatched this plan, to be in the house that night after the concert, at the same time! Because she thought, we would finally see sense if we saw one another. To sit down and talk. Well, as you know, it ended up being more than that. It sure did said Lola smiling. 

The trouble is said Tessa I am now going to be working for Mariah's boyfriend! I've just found out through Mom, that he and his brother own Hamilton Winters, and the record label comes under that. Oh wow! Said Lola a bit shocked at that bit of news. That's not all said Tessa. Sally is coming to live here in Genoa City. Because she secured a job here, working for a company called Dark Horse. Which is owned by Mariah's dad Nick! Lola was blown away by that news. You'll all soon be meeting one another then said Lola with a smirk on her face. You can take that look off of your face, as soon as you like said Tessa sternly. As she saw the smirk on Lola's face. It's not funny. I don't know what I'm going to say to Sally when she gets here. Dah, maybe tell her the truth said, Lola. Is she coming here for the job, or you? Tessa went a little red with embarrassment. I'm hoping it's because of the job said Tessa meekly. I did tell her, that we are still too young to move in together! I want a life before I can even think about settling down. Would you be the same way, if Mariah was the one who suggested moving in together? asked Lola.
