A few days later, Mariah and Tessa were at Wisconsin Airport Waiting for a flight to take them to San Francisco. They had asked Neil if they could go for ten days because the sooner they got there the sooner they could relax. He made a phone call. And then told them to book their plane tickets. They dropped their main luggage at check-in and then went through security. Well, that was easier than I thought it was going to be said, Mariah. What shall we do now? I have a surprise for you said Tessa. What's that? said Mariah making a funny face. Err, well, Neil booked us into the lounge area. Oh, my said Mariah I've never been in one of those. Me neither said, Tessa. Isn't this fancy said Mariah. on entering the lounge. How the other half live said Tessa. They were told they could have anything they wanted. Tessa quickly ordered them a glass of Champagne each before the woman changed her mind. They soon realized though, that she had told them the truth. Mariah managed to get her nails done, and even got a massage! She came away from the lounge feeling fabulous.
When they got to the gate. They were told their seats had been upgraded to first class. My god said, Tessa. Can this day get any better? When they got to their seats, Mariah turned to Tessa and said this is all Neil. He must have done this all in advance. He did tell me about the lounge said Tessa. He also said he has someone picking us up in San Francisco, to take us to the car hire place because Big Sur is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive away from the airport. And he told me to take the 101 highway, as it's the most beautiful drive along the coastline. I can tell you though, that he never mentioned this upgrade where we're sitting now. Tessa took Mariah's little carry-on case and stored it in the locker above her head. Then she did the same with hers. The seats were amazing to sit in. I could get used to this style of life said Mariah. Me too said, Tessa. Maybe when I become a famous singer. They settled down for their flight to San Francisco. Once they collected all their luggage from the carousel, Tessa pushed the trolley out into the arrival hall.
Someone was waiting there with a placard. Which read Tessa and Mariah from Wisconsin, in big black letters on a whiteboard. Mariah walked up to him and pointed at the board, and said it was them. Follow me then he said. He led them outside the terminal, where a limo was parked waiting for them. Are you sure you have the right people? Questioned Tessa. You're only taking us to the car hire place. That's in the morning said the man. Mr Neil, thought you would like to get over all the travelling before you have to drive. So he has booked a suit on the top floor of the Fairmount Heritage Hotel for you both. You just have to rest up and order room service for dinner this evening. It's all paid for, added the man, as he smiled at them. He then started to load their luggage into the trunk. Tessa opened the door for Mariah. I can't believe this is happening said Mariah as she got into the limo. I have to message Neil and thank him before I forget said Tessa as she got out her phone, and texted him a message. A little while later, she received a reply from him.
He told her that they were booked in for tonight and again on their way back from the trip. He told them to enjoy it. He just thought it would be a nice break for them before they had to tackle the long drive there and back to Big Sur. He didn't want them to just get back on a plane on the way back, to Genoa City either. So he booked it for the journey back. Tessa also breathed a huge sigh of relief, when she read further down his message, that the suit was one thousand and ninety-four square feet. With two bedrooms and views overlooking the bay. Are you alright? Questioned Mariah when she heard Tessa breathe out. Is it bad news? No! No! said Tessa. Just Neil replying to my message. He just said he has booked this room for the journey home too, because he said it's a bit of a drive to and from Big Sur. It is that Mam said the driver overhearing, what she had said. Do you need me to take you to the hiring place tomorrow? He asked. Err, no I don't think so said Tessa. But we will need a lift from the hotel to the airport again in ten days. If that is okay?
Mr Neil has already booked me to do that Mam. Of course, he has said Tessa happily. How are we getting to the hiring place? asked Mariah. Oh, Neil has organized for them to drop the car here at the hotel. Bloody hell said Mariah as the limo pulled up outside the hotel. This is very luxurious. It's very swanky said Tessa. The driver clicked his fingers and a hotel porter came to help him unload luggage and take them into the hotel. Mariah and Tessa said goodbye to the driver. Tessa went to tip him. No need for that Mam he said. Mr Neil made sure I was well paid and covered. With that Mariah and Tessa walked in and up to the check-in desk. It didn't take long to get the keys etc. The next step was taking the lift with the porter, to the suit on the top floor. Mariah and Tessa didn't know what to say when they entered the room. Huge windows were looking out onto the bay. It was an amazing view of not only the Golden Gate Bridge but Alcatraz too. That is just spectacular said Tessa a bit lost for words. The porter coughed to get their attention. Err, where would you like your luggage put Mam? It's okay thank you, we can deal with them. Tessa reached for her purse.
