The families had decided not to go to the field. They thought the moment should be private, just between Mariah and Tessa. Tessa secretly thought this was amazing because she hadn't told anyone about the house she wanted to build. This meant no one would know except her and Mariah until they returned. At Tessa's parents' house, everyone was frantically putting up decorations and fairy lights, under the direction of Cassie. While Crystal was in the kitchen, with her team of helpers preparing all the food. When it was all done, they all collapsed exhausted. But it did look wonderful. Cassie had gone with a red and gold theme. There were disco balls, candles, flowers, ribbons and banners everywhere she could find. Gwen looked at her watch. Okay, people, we have two hours to get ourselves looking presentable before the girls get back. Gwen then said. Don't forget they're getting ready at your house. She pointed to Sharon and Nick. Because Tessa told us, she was going to tell Mariah. They were going to go out for dinner to celebrate their engagement. Although, Mariah has no idea this is all going to happen at this point, obviously.

In the car meanwhile, Mariah was wondering where Tessa was taking her. They went out of town, a little way. So they were now in the countryside. Mariah loved the trees and nature. Tessa eventually pulled up to a gate. Okay, we're here said Tessa. She got out and went around the car and opened the door for Mariah. Tessa felt down to her pocket, to make sure the ring was still in there after she collected it from Lola at the airport, earlier that morning when she picked her up and took her to the hotel she was staying at. Lola and Kevin were now at the house, helping everyone get everything up. What are we doing here? asked Mariah. You'll see in a moment said Tessa. Just wait over there by the gate, while I get something out of the trunk. Mariah wandered off, while Tessa retrieved the house plans. She slung the big tube of paper under her arm and walked up to Mariah. Let's go in said Tessa. Won't we be trespassing? asked Mariah. No! No! we're good said Tessa. I know who this belongs to. She smiled at Mariah, as she grabbed her hand and led her into the field.

They went quite a few paces in. Tessa then put the tube of paper onto the ground. She cleared her throat. "Mariah" I know this must feel strange to you. You must be asking yourself why are we standing in a field right now? You could say that said Mariah nervously. It's okay. Tessa tried to reassure her. Like I said, I know who this field belongs to. And who is that? queered Mariah. Me said, Tessa. Mariah started to laugh. Oh you are funny said Mariah. You have tried to prank me so many times! I'm not falling for this one. What's that over there? Tessa pointed and Mariah turned around. Where? asked Mariah. In the far corner, over on the right said Tessa just hoping she had enough time to get the ring out of her pocket and go down on her bent knee before Mariah turned back around. "Tessa" Mariah screamed after she had turned back around and started to cry and look at the ring. I have waited so long for this said Tessa. "Mariah" I have loved you for so long. I can't imagine my life without you in it. We have one heart. We're no good without the other. I want to ask you to be with me forever. You are my soulmate. my best friend, lover and my rock. I love you now and always.

Will you marry me? Mariah was stunned by all the lovely words, Tessa had just said to her. Well? asked Tessa panicking that Mariah had not answered the question yet. Yes! Yes! Yes! Of course, I will marry you said Mariah. Tessa placed the ring on Mariah's finger. This is my land said Tessa I bought it from my parents a long time ago. And I was wondering if you would like to live here. Once the house has been built. Tessa then grabbed the plans and rolled them out so Mariah could see them. Mariah started to cry again. You want to build a home for us? said Mariah through the snivels she was making. Yes, I do said, Tessa. Obviously, I want you to take your time and look at the plans properly. And if there is anything, anything at all you would like to change about them. We can do that. Then I can put the final changes in and give the architect the go-ahead to draw up a set of final plans so that the building work can go ahead and start to build our house. In the meantime, I thought we could plan our wedding. Mariah didn't know what to say.
