The sound of the rain hitting my windshield fills my ears as I park my car outside of Seth's apartment. He invited me over after school today to watch more of You. After I got home from our double date thing that was now four days ago, I cried into my pillow until I fell asleep. Luckily, my parents didn't hear me because the last thing I want is for them to know that I'm still pathetically in love with Seth. My fist knocks on the front door, it opens within a few seconds. Seth is standing there wearing his jeans and a black t-shirt, I scan his face as he smiles when he sees me.

"Hey! Come in, it's soaking out there." He says gently pulling me into the house.

I haven't seen him since that night, and if I'm being honest it feels really good to see him even under the circumstances. He pulls me in for a warm hug, I wrap my arms around him and don't let go as I savor the scent that I love. As our hug slowly breaks I look up at him only to glance down at his lips again, the urge to kiss him returns but I shove it away and do my best to think of other things. Like how Apollo once dragged me through the mud on his leash.

"Do you want any snacks before I start the show?" He offers, I smile and shake my head.

"That's okay, but thank you." I respond, I'm too nervous around him to eat.

The show begins as we both sit next to each other on the couch. My heart thuds nervously as I look over to scan his perfect face, he glances over when he sees me looking. I quickly look back at the screen and gulp.

After watching You for two hours, my phone chimes in my purse, I grab it and check it to see that it's a text from McKenna.

Hey! Wanna come to a party with me tonight? It's at a college frat house about 25 minutes away from Forks.

I turn to look at Seth who is focused in on the show.

"Hey, Seth?" He turns to look at me. "Wanna go to a party with McKenna tonight?"

"Without you? Nah, I'd be bored." He jokes. I giggle softly. "Yeah, sure. Ask her what time."

What time? Seth is coming too.

She texts back instantly. It starts in an hour! I'll text you the address.

"Can we swing by my house so I can get ready?" I ask him, he nods and switches off the tv.

"I'll see if Conner wants to go too." I say as I text him asking if he wants to go.

I can't. I'm helping my dad with something in the garage. Have fun though!

"Never mind, he can't come. He's helping his dad." I respond, Seth just nods and grabs his car keys before slipping on his Vans.

After I get ready at my house, my parents—mainly just my dad—makes Seth promise to look after me at the party since he's going to be there. He promises.
We arrive at the big house for the party as I search for McKenna's little blue Toyota, I don't see it but then again there's a lot of people here. I get out of Seth's car in a pair of six in black heels and a tight green velvet long sleeve dress that comes above my knees. We walk side by side as we enter the house that's filled with bodies and loud music. I grab my phone and text McKenna that we're here.

I'm in the kitchen! She replies.

Seth and I go to the kitchen where McKenna and a few others are making drinks and chatting. She grins when she sees us and hugs me tightly.

"Hey, Seth!" She greets him.

"Hey. What's up?"

"I'm planning on getting white girl wasted." She jokes as she makes herself a drink.
