It's Friday, which means I get to see Seth today and spend the weekend with him. I've shaved my legs twice since I got home from school and I made my hair wavy with my curling wand this morning so now my hair has these beachy looking waves to it. I also made sure to make an appointment with Planned Parenthood today before my parents got home so I could have some birth control ready. I have to do all of this privately because if my parents knew Seth and I were having sex I think my mom wouldn't be as insane about it as my dad, but I think my dad would have a stroke or lose his cool. Either way, I don't want to find out and I want to keep being able to stay the night with Seth. My phone vibrates in my purse so I grab it and check my texts, it's from McKenna.

Oh my God, Hazel. My dad just walked in on Chandler and I having sex. I brought him over at school today and no one was home so we had sex. My dad fucking walked in on us and it was so embarrassing. He started yelling and made Chandler leave. I can hear him talking to my mom right now and I don't know what's going to happen, kill me now.

My eyes widen as I begin texting her back, this is exactly why Seth and I should never have sex at my house or why I need to keep this a secret from my parents.

Oh my God! Are you okay?! How embarrassing. Do you think you're in trouble?

She responds immediately.

I don't know but I gotta go, my dad's coming back in here. He was so mad. I'll keep you posted.

My heart goes out to McKenna, I would be mortified if my parents walked in on Seth and I doing the act.
My phone vibrate again but this time it's not McKenna, it's Seth.

Hey I'm outside

I grin happily as I grab my things and go to meet Seth outside, I've already texted my parents and let them know that I am staying with him this weekend. I smile at when when we make eye contact as I make my way over to his car, he gives me a smile that looks like sunshine.

"Hey, you look really pretty today." He compliments as I get in his car. He's just the sweetest man alive.

"Thank you" I sheepishly respond.

He thinks I'm pretty?! That makes me so happy.

"How was your day?" I ask as he begins driving.

"It was long. I'm happy to be off work. How was your day?" He questions.

"It was interesting. A few days ago I found some stuff out and I was wondering if I could ask you about it. I thought maybe you might know something." I begin, he nods.

"What's up?"

"Did you know that my mom used to be a vampire?" I softly ask. He doesn't say anything right away.

"Yes, I did."

"How did that happened? When? How is she a human again?" I have so many questions.

"From what I heard, her dad attacked her and changed her. She never wanted to be that. She and Paul went searching for a cure after a while and they found one. Then they got married and had you." He explains calmly.

"What? So my grandfather is a vampire?"

"Was. Paul killed him."

"Holy shit."

"It was a crazy time I will say that." He admits.

"Who is Dylan and why did he attack my mom?" I puzzle.

"Oh... Um... That's a whole different story. But I think you should ask Willow or Paul about that one." He shy's away from the question.

"They aren't going to tell me, you and I both know that." I pry him. He sighs softly.
