Chapter 3. - The Witch Trials

"Remind me to never drink again." Jan groaned at the breakfast table. Jan and Jure were the only ones who had a hangover, though Jan's was definitely worse. Kris and I didn't have a hangover. I rarely got hangovers. I would be a little bit more noise sensitive but honestly it wasn't a very big problem. Nace patted Jan's back with a little smile on his lips. The man must be feeling satisfied at the sight of his friend being hungover while he didn't drink himself. 

"Don't worry, we don't have a gig before tonight so you can skip the interviews if you want?" I offered. Being in a band of 6 people was a really big band. most were only 4 or 5. When you look at bands like Wild Youth, LPS, and Måneskin they're a very normal size band. The good thing about being such a big band was that we were able to skip interviews so long the majority of representatives actually did the interviews and represented our country in the media as well on stage. 

"Nah i want to be on TV." Jan said and took a sip of his coffee. That made me laugh. Of course he wanted to be on TV. 

"Remember to say hi to your mom while you're at it." I said. That gained chuckles from around the table and a wink from Jan. I rested my head on Bojan's shoulder, he was sitting next to me with his morning coffee and plate with pancakes. He put his hand on my thigh, stoking his thumb like he did yesterday in the car. 

I kissed his shoulder which made him smile while he chewed his pancakes. He gave my thigh a small squeeze.

"Hello everyone, i am standing here with Slovenia's representatives for this years Eurovision, Joker Out." Our interviewer, Taylor said. She had really pretty red hair. 

We all greeted the camera. 

"So, Joker Out, you guys were at the first pre-party yesterday, am i correct?" We all confirmed. "How was it? Did you enjoy it?" Taylor gave Bojan the microphone. 

"Yeah we really did enjoy it. We met a lot of the other contestants, we especially talked with the boys from Wild Youth, the Irish representatives. We had a lot of fun, i think especially Kris had a good night." Bojan laughed. The microphone immediately went to Kris. 

"Yeah i had i lot of fun yesterday. I, um... I think if you watch our Carpe Diem series on YouTube you can spot me in the background jumping around and having a few drinks." He laughed nervously. 

"Sounds like you guys had a fun night. What about for tonight's show? What can we expect for tonight's performance?" 

"Well, we usually like to give our everything when we have concerts. We have sound check this afternoon so that's when we'll see the stage and our space to work with. You can for sure expect us to interact with the audience, in the sense that we like to be close on stage. We like to interact with each other and keep close together, making it feel like a little family and we hope to make our fans and audience feel like they're a part of that family and that they're included in our performance." I said. 

"You guys have 2 albums out already, besides your Eurovision song you have the opportunity to perform 2 other songs as well. What songs are you planning to also perform for tonight show?" 

As Bojan were answering the question i stood on my tiptoes to rest my chin on his shoulder from behind him. I was about 20 cm shorter than him. I smiled into the camera. Jan, as always, needed to be doing something in the background so he started to pat me on top of my head. Nace copied him.
