January 4th 2016."You do realize he asked you not me." I looked up at Kris as we walked down the street.
"It's gonna be fine, Tuva." Kris said with his eyes plastered to his phone which showed a text with the address we were heading to. Apparently Kris had gotten a call by a guy from our school asking him to join a new band. Jan had gotten the same offer, the only problem was that Jan and Kris were already in a band and so were this dude who'd called them up. We were on our way to meet up with them to talk a bit about it.
Kris had insisted that i joined him. I honestly didn't have much interest in being in a band. Well, the thought had crossed my mind once or twice, but i'd never done anything about it. I'm not much of a people person. I was fine with just having Kris and his dad to jam around with once in a while. Besides Kris and Jan were the ones invited not me. If Bojan wanted me he would've called.
"He invited you, not me. If he wanted me there he would've asked me." I tried to tell Kris, but it pretty much felt like talking to a wall at this point.
"He hasn't heard you play." He said with the same stubbornness he'd always had. I rolled my eyes at him. There was much i wanted to say to him, but i kept quiet and followed the stubborn bitch until we reached a white house further down the road.
The roof was red and the house had a small but nice front yard and a little garage for bikes and tools and whatnot. It was a pretty nice house, it could use a bit of paint but besides that it seemed like the perfect family home.
Kris walked past the fence and up to the door, not realizing i was still standing on the pavement watching him.
"Just let me talk and it'll b- Tuva come on!" Kris shouted when he realized.
"I should go home, Krisko. I don't want to be here." I tried to plead.
"Tuva, i promise that it's gonna be fine if you're here." He walked back to me and reached his hand out for me to take.
"Who's house even is this?"
"You don't know him, he's in grade 10."
"10? I thought you said he went to our school?" I asked.
"He did. Last year." Was all Kris said before snatching my hand and pulling me along with him to the door. "You don't have to be nervous, he's nice enough."
"I'm not nervous, i'm just not invited."
"Yes you are, i invited you."
"And what does he say to that?"
"Let's find out." Kris smiled and knocked on the brown wooden door. I felt myself panic and so i immediately started to fix my hair and tried my best to look presentable.
The door revealed a light brunnette boy with deep brown eyes and a black Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt and dark blue jeans. He had quite young skin and deep brown eyes. He wasn't very tall, but his body definitely made him look tall. I knew him though.
Not personally. I rather knew of him. He was quite popular when he went to our school. I'd never actually talked to him, but i've seen him perform a couple of times. He was pretty good actually. Definitely had lots of potential and so thought the music teacher. I'd seen him in the halls lots of times. I'd never gotten his name though.
He smiled at Kris and greeted him immediately with a highfive and a hug.
"Hey man, good to see you." He smiled as they let go of each other. His eyes shifted to me. He scanned me up and down and a hand went through his hair, fixing the sidepart he had. "This your girlfriend?"
