"Hi!" Sophie squealed as she hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and squeezed her tightly. She smelled like vanilla and sugar. My nose scrunched at the strong scent, tics already getting triggered by the sweet smell.

I let go of her, but her hands didn't leave my biceps. I didn't really like that. It felt like she was invading my personal space and only people i was close with could touch me like that. However, i put on a smile. She looked even prettier than i remembered. Long, dark brown hair and completely straight without a single swirl or wave. Big, innocent, deer eyes and a rather small frame that was still somehow a bit taller than me. She had the sweetest smile and a glimpse of happiness in her eyes.

"Good to see you again." She smiled.

"You too. I hope the flight wasn't too bad." I politely gave my best attempt to start a useless smalltalk.

"Don't remind me. I was delayed an whole hour and because it was raining like fucking shit i couldn't get a taxi. Then some asshole ran through this really big puddle so a bunch of water splashed on me. I was drenched." Sophie explained. I just asked about the flight, but alright. I guess i needed to know the whole trip.

"Sounds horrible." I commented.

"It was." Sophie answered. A painfully thick silence of awkwardness and you-just-flew-all-the-way-from-Barcelona-to-London-while-i'm-so-exhausted-from-5-hours-of-PR-that-i-would-actually-rather-just-go-home-and-watch-a-movie-or-drink-with-the-boys appeared between the 2 of us. I wondered what would happen if i just got a taxi and drove away. I'd be a bitch for sure.

"So, where do you wanna go?" Sophie asked me. I hadn't really thought about it to be honest. I always had so much to do and barely any energy, so i honestly hadn't really thought about it. I guess i kind of hoped Sophie had planned something.

"I don't know. What do you wanna do?" I asked her hoping she would decide, but she just shrugged her shoulders. Why would i even ask her that? I figured it was polite to ask a date what they wanted to do, but i actually loved planning my dates. First off: that way i knew what to expect. Second off: I could totally make it romantic as fuck. I could buy flowers, plan a nice dinner, maybe a walk along a river or through the city streets. Maybe even take a little drink or eat some ice cream. Also, this was London. London. This city was full of things to do. Museums, art galleries, restaurants and honestly some pretty cool tourist attractions. London Eye would actually be a pretty cool date. With the view it would be quite romantic. Maybe i just needed a romantic setting and i'd be back to being head over heels for Sophie. "Do you wanna go to London Eye? I've heard good of it." I smiled at her.

"Uhh, i'm not so good with heights. Makes me dizzy, y'know?" Sophies face and tones changed into a much less excited one.

"Okay, that's fine. We don't have to do that." I assured her. "We can do something else. What about going to a museum or an art gallerie? I've heard about this really cool Rain Room at the Barbican. It should be a really great experience. There's of course a bit of a que, but i don't it should take so long." I suggested. The first time i heard of the Rain Room was in a movie and i've wanted to go ever since.

"I don't really feel like getting wet."

"Oh, but that's the cool part. You don't." I got really excited when i began talking about it and started flapping around with my hands and made small jumps, but I could tell Sophie wasn't really following me. "Yeah, so you're in this dark room and water is pouring from the celling while there's meditation music playing and it should be an absolutely extraordinary experience, especially because everything around you is getting drenched in water while you remain completely dry." I told her with a big smile.
