Chapter 17: Sophie

Today was the day I was going to escape. I couldn't walk on my broken ankle so I practiced balancing and jumping on one foot.

Every time I fell it hurt really bad, but I figured that I would not die from being tortured. I would die trying to escape or survive and escape. Ether way there would be less torture.

Ruy and Fintan walked into the room. Ruy had a needle which freaked me out due to my deadly fear of needles. Fintan didn't say anything and started to burn my chest and ribs.

I gritted my teeth trying to not show weakness, but a small sob slipped out. Fintan strangled my his hands burning. I struggled for breath and begged for him to stop.

He stopped and I noticed my ribs and neck was bleeding. After he kicked me a couple times and punched me in the face. I spat out blood and noticed Ruy walking towards me with the needle.

I thrashed and tried to move away but Fintan held me down by my arms, which felt like they were on fire.

I felt a spike of pain in my arm where Ruy had injected me with something. Instantly I knew it was Limbium.

My eyes turned bloodshot and my whole body hurt. I focused on channeling and I outward channeled the ability dampener and my bonds.

The headache I had faded a little bit but was still there. Ruy and Fintan hadn't noticed and were walking out. I inflicted my pain on them making them collapse in agony. I hobbled over to the door, where Ruy pulled on my good ankle making me fall.

I fell on my ankle and sobbed, they were still screaming in agony but I kicked off Ruy's hand and locked the door on them. No one else was in the facility except for them and two other members who I inflicted on and made them collapse instantly.

There was a huge iron door which I figured was the exit. I opened the door, carefully balancing on my good leg.

There was snow outside and falling down. It felt amazing on my burns. In front of me was a cliff so I jumped off. I focused on the camp they were at and I fell into the void.

I wanted to stay there forever in the piece full safe place, but it was time to go home. The last thing I remembered was falling out of the sky and the ground getting closer and closer to me, then the world turned black.
