Chapter 20: Percy

As soon as Sophie said Giants all the demigods ran to the big house.

Chiron looked startled when we ran in. We explained everything to him and he honestly looked really sad after the news about Sophie.

When we saw Will dragging out a stretcher we all ran to see who it was, and a blond girl who looked even worse than me and Annabeth after we came out of Tartarus, laid down limply covered in burns, blood, and cuts. To make it even worse it looked like she had a broken ankle.

All the demigods had tears, for the sake of the elves.

"Chiron," Piper said "what do you need us to do?"

He sighed "Well with Sophie's return I bet the Neverseen and Giants will want revenge and attack us." He shifted uncontrollably in his wheelchair "Everyone prepare the camp for war, and have the elven builder, the one with the strawberry blond hair make some weapons."

Annabeth and I immediately ran to the mess hall where everyone was getting lunch, and I was tempted to get a burger but Annabeth already started to make the announcement.

All the demigods groaned and after they ate, the camp looked like a ancient military compound. The Aries cabin was doing war paint and sharpening weapons, Hephaestus's cabin was making swords and shields.

Campers trained and clashed swords with each other, it was awesome to see and watch, but I was worried about the girl Sophie.

I went to the medical room where Will and a weird animal covered doctor were treating Sophie.

She had a boot on her ankle. Her eyes were closed but her left eye seemed swollen and bruised. Will was giving her stitches on her arm and wrapped it in a bandage. He grinned at me when he saw me.

"What's up Percy?" He asked.

"We are about to go to war." I replied. "How is Sophie?"

"She could be better." He said. "Ribs are severely burned and brused, the poison is slowly spreading and all these cuts that we are tending right now. We are waiting for the elves to return with all the stuff we need for the poison."

I glanced over at Keefe who kneeled down beside Sophie clutching her hand with puffy eyes. I walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry man, your girlfriend is strong. She will pull through." I told him.

He had a weak laugh "I wish she was my girlfriend, but I'm pretty sure she likes my best friend."

I sighed and squeezed his shoulder and left the room, unsure of what to say to him.

Annabeth ran to me carrying armor. "The giants are here."
