Chapter 24: Sophie

I heard muffled shouts and the sounds of swords clashing. My head throbbed and my leg felt stuck. My entire body felt like a elephant ran over me twice.

I slowly opened my eyes and found a beautiful blond haired boy sitting next to me, clutching my hand tight, with red and puffy eyes.

"Hey." I whispered to Keefe. I felt like I couldn't get my voice to work properly.

"Foster?" He said, unsure if I really was here or not.

"Yeah." I croaked.

He shot to his feet and called Elwin.

Immediately Elwin burst into the room with his satchel of Elixirs ready.

"You don't know how good it is to hear your voice." He said with tears in his eyes. "You just missed everyone. They came and dropped off these Elixirs I need to give you."

I groaned and Keefe just smirked at me. That's when I remembered everything that had happened. I burst into tears.

"Hey, hey Foster. What's wrong?" Keefe asked.

"The Neverseen." I said between sobs "they d-did this t-too me."

Keefe looked at his shoes "Your safe now." He said but he didn't seemed to convinced.

"The giants are here?" I asked.

He nodded "We don't need your help though. All the demigods are kicking some giant but right now. And our gang is destroying them." He pumped his fist in the air.

I smiled at that "Why aren't you helping?"

"I won't leave your side until your better." He said, his face tinted red.

I took a deep breath, it was time I told Keefe the truth "Hey Keefe." I said, getting his attention "You are the sweetest person I know and I love spending every second of my day with you... I really like you Keefe. Like, like like you."

He looked at me stunned "I like like you too Foster." He said as he bent down and moved his face towards mine.

I would try to move my face towards him but it hurt to much. But when our lips touched all the fireworks went off and I felt like I was home.
