Chapter 27: Keefe

Elwin gave Sophie a orange camp tee-shirt, jeans, tennis shoes, and a weird triangle looking metal thing called crutches.

While Sophie changed Elwin and I talked about what was going on outside.

"So giants are attacking us and the demigods are used to this?" I asked. I was surprised how much Elwin knew about this kind of stuff so I decided to ask him "how do you also know all this?"

He looked at me and put his face in his hand "The demigods fight monsters a lot. And DO YOU NOT LISTEN EHRN WHEN PEOPLE TALK!THATS HOW I KNOW ALL THIS!"

I would argue back but I don't really pay attention when people talk that much, and I was too focused on Sophie's safety.

But I just jinxed myself when I heard Sophie scream and a loud crash. Elwin and I burst into the room, Where the back of the building collapsed and Sophie was trapped underneath some wood. But somehow she managed to inflict on the giant, who was on the ground whimpering in pain.

"Hurry up and kill it." Sophie said, straining to keep inflicting.

I grabbed a rock I found on the ground and bashed it into the giants head, until he exploded into yellow dust, covering me completely and some of Sophie's tee-shirt.

Elwin somehow got none on him and was trying to get some of the wood off of Sophie.

I noticed that some of the cuts on her arms and face were opened and she was bleeding a bit. She caught me looking and wiped the blood away. But she looked amazing.

"I'm fine." She said. Elwin had her lean on me and I pecked her cheek. I was so happy to finally be in a relationship with her. She was one of the only people to understand me and my life. And somehow tolerate me.

Elwin handed her the crutches and she tripped as soon as she took her first step on the wood. I caught her waist when she was about to hit the ground. And I faced her towards me.

"Foster we are a couple, you can't keep falling for me." I complained to her but I gave her a wink.

Her adorable little face turned red, "Thank you." She said as she kissed me on the lips as I kissed her back. The moment would have been amazing until we heard someone cough behind us.

"You guys are going to make me sick." Elwin said.

Sophie and I both turned red. And we quickly rushed to the fight ignoring Elwin's protests. But before we knew it a group of black cloaked people surrounded us with a creepy white eye on their sleeves.
