No Chance

Haerin POV:

     "I think his name was...Y/N?"

"Dang it. How'd she know?"

As Danielle unnie said this, my heart dropped, my eyes flew open, and my cheeks and ears started to turn red. Trying to diffuse the situation, I changed the subject.

     "Al- Alright, he- here's your drinks. Let's finish them quickly and get back to practice." "Oh! That's righ- wait, don't try to change the subject. Now, spill it. We're all curious as to how you knew him."

Knowing I had no chance to change the subject and make them forget about it, especially with Minji unnie there, I just accepted my fate and told them what they wanted to know.

     "And that's all. We're just classmates and friends." "How about the time he caught you by your waist though? It looked so romantic. I would've thought he was making moves on you." "No way. He's a trainee as well so he knows that there are dating bans in place, so he won't even try." "Yeah, sure."

Despite knowing that they still weren't satisfied, they decided to let it go, letting out a breath I didn't know I held. After this little predicament, the day carried on smoothly — like nothing happened. Although, there is this thing that makes me somewhat sad, but I don't know what it is. So I decided to ignore it.

Y/N POV:

Walking away, I had a bad feeling about something. And like always, bad feelings are always right.

     "Y/N–ah. Why were you in front of NewJeans' room?"

That sigle line sent me shivers. And hearing that voice, it made me turn as fast as I can. It was...

     "Jaehyun hyung. What are you doing here?"

Thought I'd make a short chapter to contrast the 600 word plus chapter.
I was actually pretty happy of how this turned out. A little info. as well, I'm gonna pump out as many chapters as my creativity allows it until school starts again.
