Third POV

Work comes in full throttle, the Star Ship already getting its first mission.

"We are picking up a package." The Captain sighs to himself on the bridge. "They couldn't get someone else to do this?" He whispers to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"No Captain, we are closer to the package than any other ship. Therefore it would be illogical to send any other vessel because it would take longer." Spock spews to the Captain. Kirk rolls his eyes before nodding to Spock.

"I do suppose you're right. But I can't help but think we could be exploring something new or helping another civilization, and all the other more interesting stuff." Kirk sighs thinking about previous missions.

"I'm sure we will be doing that as well Captain." Spock nods to Kirk excusing himself from the bridge. Kirk smiles at his words.

"Sulu make sure we're on course." Kirk says starting to slouch in his Captains chair.

"Of course Captain. She is steady." Sulu says with a smile.

Spock makes his way to his office in the science department. He sits at his desk looking at his PADD. Again he stairs at Novas profile. He knows everything, word for word. Spock scrolls and looks at her schedule. They haven't been able to speak to each other except in passing. They both have busy and different schedules. There breaks never aligned nor did there breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They didn't even get off at the same time. Spock could change this, but it would be illogical to do so. Suddenly he hears a knock on the door. He quickly turns off his PADD.

"Come in." Spock says.

"Hello Commander, I'm here about the malfunctioning panels." Nova smiles at Spock, so happy to see him. Nova felt almost relieved to see him. She won't admit this herself but every time they pass each other her heart beats so fast and something pulls her to him. Spock felt his lips twitch upwards slightly. How does she do that, he thinks to himself. He coughs before opening his mouth.

"Yes, I was checking the operations of our lab when I realized there is something wrong with the switches. Some do not work and some are functioning but not properly. For instance," Spock walks over to a panel with switches and buttons. He flicks one and the lights turns off. Flicking it again they turn back on. "This panel is for laboratory functions and testing, not the lights." Spock stairs at Nova while she examines the panel.

"So a very bad wiring error, it must've gotten like this from left off. I'll be sure to fix it but I'm gonna need your help Commander.." Nova mutters as she kneels in front of the panel. She gets a pocket tool roll strapped to her waist and rolls it on the ground next to her. She takes out a screw. "I just have to get this off first so I can access the wires. How have you been doing?" Nova says getting to the last screw.

"I have been well, yourself?" Spock says looking down as she works. Nova pries off the access point for the wires.

"I've been good, my new security team starts training tomorrow and other than that I've been doing odd jobs like these throughout the ship." Nova looks up at Spock again with a smile, her eyes closed. Again Spocks lips twitched. He places his hands behind his back. He didn't understand, how does she do it? Why does he want to see her so badly? Talk to her so much?

"I would like permission to change your schedule." Spock blurts out.

"Why is that?" Nova says looking up at Spock. Big mistake, his eyes melted as he stairs at her. She could feel her face grow warm. Her heart beats quick in her chest. How does he do that with just a look? Spock leans down closer to her crouched position. Almost wanting to make sure nobody heard him. What he really wanted to say was 'I miss speaking with you, I feel I must be close to you, I am curious as to why I feel this way' instead it came out as.
