Third POV

"You are looking great! It must be nice to be able to heal faster. But don't get too excited you still have lots of healing to do, I'm just saying you can get out of the ICU." Bones begins to lecture Nova on what she could and could not do. Nova rolls her eyes as she talks. It's been three days since Nova woke up. She was ready to get out of the ICU.

"Can I leave now?" Nova mutters, Bones gives her a look making Nova laugh.

"If you don't listen to me I'll have you locked in here! And since I knew you'd have trouble listening I'd brought you a friend to watch you." Bones smirks.

"Spock!" Nova says with excitement as he happens to walk in.

"Yes it is! After he gets all his stuff packed up out of here he's gonna be watching you like a hawk." Bones mutters crossing his arms. Spock looks at Nova with his eyebrow raised.

"Let's go then." Nova rushes to get out of the bed.

"Hold on missy! Gonna be needing one of these for just a few days, then a cane to keep pressure off, then nothing." Bones pulls out a wheelchair.

"Bones I'm fine." Nova sighs.

"Your broken leg would contradict that statement." Spock states putting his last book in a bag.

"Ok ok fine, you win." Nova holds her hand up in defeat.

"A few things, check ups every day, no powers, no fighting or any strenuous activities, and no work whatsoever. Nova I swear on my cowboy hat if I see you doing anything except breathing and relaxing you will be strapped to a bed. Do I make myself clear?" Bones looks at Nova sternly.

"Crystal doctor." Nova smiles. Bones sighs before smiling too. Spock walks out of the ICU, bones looks back before looking back at Nova.

"So...how are you and Spock?" McCoy smirks.

"He kissed me." Nova leans in and whispers. Bones jaw drops.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe it." Bones covers his mouth now.

"It was on the cheek, still, point is we talked back down on that monster ridden planet. I still want to take it slow but that's gonna be hard to do now. We are gonna have to fight or natural instinct to be together." Nova sighs.

"Wait don't you want to be together?" Bones looks confused.

"Yes but not right now, a lot has happened and we don't want the bond to form like this. Problem is, after an experience like this our instincts tell us to cling to each other. Which is why it's hard for us to be apart, it's like withdraw symptoms from a drug. Even now I can't wait to see him, it eases my mind. If I go to long without Spock it will definitely show, I can't imagine what he must've been through or how he's been feeling. It's probably a lot more strenuous on him. Actually what's taking him so long?" Nova sighs impatiently.

"That's the bond talking." Bones teases.

"Oh shush." Nova smacks his shoulder.

"I said no fighting! And why fight these instincts, I figured they would be there for a reason. What you described to me sounds like hunger. Belly growls, you eat, and your brain tells you good job for keeping the body alive. Same thing here. You need each other, why heal apart when you can heal together?" Bones spews.

"We are healing together, just not together together. I'd like to take it as slow as possible. Speaking of relationships, you and Tiva?" Nova asks with a smile. Bones gets a dumb grin on his face.

"We said I love you. It's to late for us Nova, we are going way to fast and there are no brakes." Bones laughs. Nova smiles. "She said it first but we were both tired and umm. Well you know under a lot of stress. I understand what you mean Nova, trust me. You want it to be a real connection." Bones sighs.
