Kirks POV
It's been two weeks, this away mission was a bit far but worth it! We have an away mission for a new planet!
I am in my Captains chair, trying to figure out an appropriate team.
"Captain speaking, Commander Spock, Wild, and Dr. McCoy, meet me in the bridge." I say with excitement. Bones shows up first.
"Captain. Please do not tell me I'm going on an away mission." Bones sighs.
"Well I have great news for ya, your coming along!" Bones rolls his eyes at me.
"Dang it Jim." He pinched the bridge of his noise.
"Uhura of course will be coming with us. Since she demanded." I roll my eyes as she turns around.
"Politely asked." Uhura says.
"Forced. She means forced." I say with a smirk, I slouch in my chair looking at her amused.
"Oh for the love of- can't you guys just get a room already." Bones throws his hands up in the air. I look at him with a laugh.
"As if you can talk, making goggly eyes at my head nurse. Don't make me make you write a report." I point at Bones as if I was scolding him. He rolls his eyes.
"Permission to come on the bridge?" Nova requests.
"Well if it isn't my lovely, beautiful, charming head of Security. Get in her Chief." I smile as a smile became apparent on her face. She really does have a beautiful smile. Lately when seeing Nova her smile doesn't seem the same. Not as joyous. Hopefully this away mission is what she needs.
"Well if it isn't my playboy Captain, how you doin handsome?" She asks coming over to my chair.
"Better now that your here cutie. Hey if you think I'm so handsome why don't ya-" I started before being interrupted.
"Permission to come into the bridge Captain?" Spock says with a very strong voice.
"Come on in." Spock comes in, his air about him quiet. Not like his normal quiet but a peculiar quiet. Novas stance changed straighter and stiff. Bones coughs awkwardly.
"Is this our away team?"Uhura says walking over.
"No, it's the stand around the Captain club." I say plainly before smiling.
"But we can barley stand yo-." Uhura teases.
"Alrighty then!" I clap my hands to interrupt Uhura. "This is my away team, security & engineer, doctor, science officer, and you and whatever you do." I joke with Uhura who playfully turns around offended swinging her ponytail back and forth.
"We will be arriving in 15 minutes, I expect you all to be ready by then. This planet is a class M planet. So a breezy discovery mission we will meet at the transporter. Nova, Spock, I must speak to you privately." I say seriously. They follow me to a meeting room and I look at them. They are different now around each other. It's as if they don't want to be together. They stand far apart and make strict eye contact with me, as if the other wasn't there.
"I've gotten another one of those messages from your friend Nova, I sent it to you. Decode it and we will talk about the next plan on the class M planet. You guys are on this together, I need you to be a well oiled machine but I'm sure that won't be a problem with you two." I smile and laugh. It was dead silent after. Spock had his hands clenched at his side.
"Captain, Chief." Spock dismissed himself. Nova stands their and sighs deeply.
"I will see you later Captain." Nova sighs before leaving. I stand there puzzled, they were shoulder to shoulder before.
