Third POV

He shakes her and she stirs awake. Her eyes widen, she quickly pushes Spock out the way and lifts her sword, blocking an attack from the beast. It's claws are heavy on Novas sword. Nova screams in pain. Her other arm she was sure has been dislocated from the impact.

Spock shoots at the beast but it doesn't budge.
It keeps going down on Nova; the claws get closer to Novas face. Spock quickly breaks the panel on his phaser off. He makes quick work with some wires and fires it again. This time a bigger blast come from the phaser as the shot goes through the beasts head. Spock drops the gun as it burnt his hand, the phaser was destroyed upon firing. The beast falls on its side. Nova breaths heavily. The claw had scrapped her forehead. Blood dropped down her face.

Spock rushes over to her. "Are you alright?" He asks grabbing her face. Nova nods.

"Yes, are you?" Nova places a hand on his face.

"Yes I am.." Spock looks at Nova as she tries to get up.

"We have to get out of here before more come!" She groans placing her sword back. Nova held tightly to her left arm. Her back was in extreme pain as well as her left shoulder and head. Despite this Nova picks up both bags. Spock gets the tent but leaves the sleepy bag. They rush inside the forest, it was dark and they could barley see. Spock notices Nova clinging to her arm.

"Let me hold the bags." He mutters. It was more of a command than a request as he takes them from her, slipping the straps from her shoulder down her arm. Nova let's go of her left arm to let Spock take the backpacks. Spock then places his own hand in hers. He starts leading the way.

"Spock?" Nova questions.

"You are injured. We must find a place to rest and recover before tomorrow." Spock mutters. He shivers slightly, feeling the cold on his skin. The only thing that covered him were the wraps around his chest. Nova let's him lead, her head pounding to much to disagree. After awhile of walking Spock finds a river. He smirks. "This is perfect, this will cover or scent as well as any sounds." Spock places down the tent, activating it once more. He sits Nova down.

"It's my shoulder mostly. I'm sure it's dislocated." Nova mutters. Spock goes behind Nova.

"I can put it back in place." Nova nods letting Spock take her left arm. "I will do it on the number three. 1..2..3." Spock pops it back in. Nova sighs with relief.

"Man that hurt." Nova rubs her shoulder. Spock looks in the aid kit.

"Would you like a hypo for pain?" Nova looks at Spock.

"We get picked up at noun tomorrow. I can't afford to be out of it. I'm fine Spock, really." Spock frowns slightly at Nova. Nova looks at Spock before looking away.

"Don't be strong with me." He mutters. Nova looks at him before sighing.

"My back is probably bruised pretty badly and my head is pounding. I am also unsure if I'll be able to swing my sword considering my left arm. However there is one thing we have to get and it's the recording from the fallen star ship Venar and I failed to get originally. I am scared Spock." Nova says. She frowns, unable to help it. "And I'm not supposed to be scared."

Spock moves closer to Nova. He wraps his arms around Novas waist, pulling her closer. There faces were now barley an inch apart. He then lays back. Nova was now on top of him. There faces still inches away.

"I find we cannot help our fear. Only ourselves." Spock gives a weak smile. "I can not promise that your fears won't come true. I will say we are both here now, and whatever happens it will be ok." Nova places a hand on Spock's check. She could feel he was just as scared as she was. Yet here he is, so composed and collected. It comforted Nova.
