After days of nervous stillness, the kitchen within the safehouse was suddenly buzzing with life.
Once Seven and Emjay ran throughout the building, calling everyone into the kitchen for their first proper meeting since Scarlett's sudden appearance, everyone bustled about the place. The room was filled with chatter belonging to every member of the RFA. Jumin paced out of the room, his phone glued to his ear as he repeated to his security men what Seven had explained earlier.
"From these sets of coordinates, there is a huge range from where it could have signalled from" Seven explained, placing an A1-sized map of South Korea on the table and circling the area with a red marker.
"That's a huge area..." Zen muttered, his crimson eyes losing the hope they had just shone with moments ago as he stared at the circle that included a three-hundred-mile radius. "The Mint Eye base could be anywhere in there!"
"I know, but it's a huge leap from where we've been stuck" Seven piped up, his voice rising a pitch higher than usual as a sense of hope rushed through his veins.
"Have you checked the satellite images for any leads?" Jaehee asked, leaning towards the map as she took quick notes down in a small notepad that she had pulled from a pocket in her charcoal-coloured blazer.
"I already did that with Emjay before we left my room. Sadly I couldn't make out what was what from all the overgrowth of nature and vegetation, and the steep hills and mountaintops didn't help either" Seven replied with a sigh as Emjay crossed her arms, Yoosung hovering over her shoulder as he stared down at the map.
"That's a shame" she murmured, jotting down something with her pen before slipping her phone out from a pocket in her pencil skirt. With her notebook still resting in her hand inches from her face, she wedged the pen she'd written with between her ear and her temple before she lifted her phone to her other ear and immediately left the room.
"What do you think the best plan of action is from here, Luciel?" Jumin asked as he returned from his phone call, his dark eyes hardened with focus, his phone ready in his hand to begin barking further orders into numerous phone calls. He looked determined, and even Zen had to hide a smile. It reminded him of the CEO-in-line's unbreakable determination during the months they'd searched for Yoosung's whereabouts. And hidden underneath all that dislike, Zen actually admired the man.
"There's a lot to cover in that radius, but at least we know roughly the area where they could be hiding. I think it'd be a good start to scout the area and hack into any nearby devices to see if anything on each device located has anything remotely to do with Mint Eye" Seven explained in a serious tone, his vermillion hair falling over his golden eyes, the sleeves of his hoodie rolled up to his elbows.
"That sounds like a smart decision" Jumin nodded his head in approval before typing on his phone, his thumbs working quickly across the letters. "I'll get a group of men to start investigating and also form a group from the Intelligence Unit from C&R to go along with them and begin hacking into-"
"Wait, what?" Seven looked up sharply from the map, causing Jumin to freeze on the spot.
"What is it?" Jumin knitted his eyebrows together, his thumbs poised in the air above the screen of his phone.
"It'd probably be best if I do the hacking. I'm the quickest out of everyone in the Intelligence Unit so I can go and-"
"My apologies, Luciel. But that is out of the question" Jumin retorted plainly, cutting Seven off before he continued typing on his phone.
Seven blinked in surprise before his brow furrowed in annoyance. "What do you mean that's out of the question? I'm the fastest, I'm the most skilled at hacking and-"
