"So, could either of you tell me what the HELL is going on?!"

"I'd like to ask the same bloody question!" Emjay growled as she slipped into one of the restrooms in the Mint Eye building. However, upon entering, she groaned aloud when she saw other toilet stalls inside. Were there no private bathrooms anywhere in this cursed place?

"Right, I get that you two aren't in the same room right now but can you both stop TALKING OVER EACH OTHER!!" Vanderwood screamed in Emjay's ear from the earpiece. "Yoosung, it sounded pretty personal to you so tell me what just happened and Emjay, keep your mouth shut until I tell you to open it again!"

Screwing her eyes shut, Emjay growled before throwing her hand against one of the stall doors so hard that it bounced off the wall behind it, shaking violently as the crash bounced off the walls of the restrooms and pierced her ears. Although it was painful, it felt good, really good, so she did it again. And again, and again, until the palm of her hand burned and the sound of the door hitting off the wall boomed into her ears until she thought her eardrums were about to explode.

"EMJAY, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" Vanderwood screamed again.

"It doesn't matter. I'm finished now. Carry on with your lovely talk with Yoosung before I lose my patience!" Emjay snarled back, wishing she could turn the bloody device off.

Grunting, Vanderwood grew silent again as he listened to Yoosung's story. 

Although Emjay already knew all the details, she so desperately wanted to hear what Yoosung was saying. Was he praising Rika to Vanderwood right now? Was he singing songs about her even after finding out that she's been the saviour of Mint Eye this entire time and not to mention, was supposed to be dead?! 

Emjay still couldn't understand why Yoosung was able to sweep everything that woman supposedly did under the rug easily! Yoosung hadn't even questioned her about the other things, like why she wanted Yoosung's girlfriend dead, for instance! Perhaps that was a question Emjay should ask the woman herself. She had a right to know, didn't she? This was her own life she was talking about. And she should also interrogate that so-called 'angel' about poor Scarlett as well! It infuriated Emjay down to the core that Yoosung hadn't brought any of those up. He had only brought up the time he was kidnapped by Saeran and tortured for months.

Emjay's shoulders sagged as she held her hand up to her burning face. She was letting her anger get the better of her again. The pair had only just entered Mint Eye barely half an hour ago. Of course, the first thing Yoosung was going to ask Rika about was his kidnapping. It was the worst time of his life, something that would most likely haunt him even in his elderly years. Emjay was sure it ate Yoosung alive to bring it all up again, to talk about the kidnapper he had nightmares about and who showed up in his sleep paralysis episodes almost nightly, and learn more about him and to even see his kidnapper again only moments before that.

Yoosung must have been in so much disarray, and Emjay's anger distracted her from helping and listening to him.

Stalking down the restroom and making sure each stall was empty, which was something she realised she should have done the moment she entered the room, Emjay dragged her feet towards the closest sink and splashed cold water on her face. She breathed deeply into her wet palms, wishing she could wake up. She desperately wanted this to be all a horrible nightmare. She wanted to wake up in the safe house where everything wasn't a complete mess. Where all the members hadn't been kidnapped by the prime minister and no one knew who the saviour was. Maybe if she woke up, they'd find that the saviour wasn't Rika after all, but a different woman they'd never met before, a complete psychopath who wanted to hurt everyone around her just for the sake of it. That would have been so much better than this reality she had been plunged into.
