For the next few days, Scarlett and Seven slowly grew closer, although the word 'slowly' was a bit of an exaggeration.

Seven would do the same each day, knocking on Scarlett's door before bringing the small table inside and speaking to her for about half an hour using Morse code. Scarlett always remained a safe distance away from the boy, keeping Meowy close to her chest in case she became too overwhelmed by his presence. On day three, Seven invited Scarlett out into the kitchen to chat instead of inside her room, hoping that a change of scenery would help loosen the bonds of her brainwashing against him. At first, Scarlett was apprehensive and stood with her back glued against the far wall of her bedroom. However, with Meowy's comforting words and purrs and the knowledge that some of the RFA members were already in the kitchen, Scarlett finally agreed and followed Seven hesitantly out of her room. It was there that Jumin and Zen saw Meowy for the first time.

"I'm usually not fond of your tactless creations, Luciel, but this is quite magnificent," Jumin said, prodding his index finger gently across Meowy's head between her ears as she purred loudly. "Not as beautiful as Elizabeth the Third, mind you, but still very impressive"

"At least this one doesn't have real fur. If all cats were like this, then it'd be so much easier for me" Zen added as he inspected Meowy closely with wonderment in his crimson eyes.

" Although, even the sight of that thing makes me want to sne-" Zen tried to speak before a loud sneeze exploded from his mouth and nose, causing Scarlett to squeal in fear as she almost dropped Meowy and had to catch her midair. From behind them, Seven laughed out loud. He wanted to make a snarky comment at how pathetic Zen could be, but quickly pursed his lips, reminding himself that his voice would only scare Scarlett far more than Zen's sudden sneeze could.

"You do know that a fur allergy is only effective when there is fur around?" Jumin turned to Zen, his black eyebrows rising in question.

"Of course, I know that you jerk!" Zen blew his nose into a handkerchief he fetched from the kitchen counter.

"Well, I don't know if your brain has been able to pick up the fact that there is no fur anywhere near you, or are you allergic to common knowledge as well?" Jumin asked with a smirk.

"Hey, I can't help it! The moment I see anything that remotely looks like a cat, I just react as though it's the real thing!" Zen yelled back, his cheeks burning red.

"Hmm, on second thought, maybe I should call Dr Yun back and let him educate you on how allergies work" Jumin grinned mischievously, which only made Zen's eyes widen before they glowered at him angrily.

"Why, you-" Zen barked but paused when he noticed Scarlett laughing hysterically next to them. It had been the first time any of them had heard her laugh, and it put a smile on all their faces, including Seven, who smiled like an idiot at the sound of her laugh.

"Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes when you laugh, Miss Scarlett" Zen winked, his flirtatious side waking up once again which only made Jumin roll his eyes and walk across the kitchen to grab a glass and fill it with water to drink.

Usually, Seven would have cringed at Zen's flirts and would have made fun of the man for how narcissistic he could be. But now as Zen used those same flirtatious comments on Scarlett, Seven could feel his eye twitch with annoyance. He wanted to get up from his chair in front of the tiny table and tell Zen to back off from his girl when suddenly, the young hacker's eyes widened in shock at himself.

My girl? Did I really just think that?

Seven felt his cheeks burn red with embarrassment at himself as he tried to calm them down by rubbing his hands over them. But at that moment, he suddenly turned fearful that Scarlett would end up falling for Zen instead of him. Zen was a handsome and charismatic man, he could charm anyone he came across, and it suddenly crossed Seven's mind that Scarlett could become infatuated by his flirtatious ways and forget all about him. It made sense for Scarlett to do that. Why try to trust a man you were deathly afraid of and try to work with him to build up that trust when you could be with a handsome musical actor that was flirting right at you? Seven felt anger and panic bubble inside his chest at the mere realisation of it all, which quickly floated away and became replaced by the overwhelming sadness that Seven couldn't do anything about it. What could he do when the girl was still-
