Yoosung had managed to avoid Emjay for the rest of the day. It was so unusual for him not to see her at least once as he usually did every day since his return. Even on his days at university, he'd been able to squeeze in a bit of time to see and spend time with her, but Yoosung felt he had no choice but to avoid her, no matter how painful it was. How could he face her when all he wanted to do was yell at her? As much as he wanted to - to tell her how stupid she'd been for trying to sneak away from the RFA and allow Mint Eye to take her and for not trusting in any of them first, especially him - Yoosung couldn't bring himself to do it. Yelling at Emjay was so abnormal for him to do and it made him feel like an imposter in their relationship every time it crossed his mind. He hated hurting her, but at least he could choose what would hurt her the least.

The young student sighed. What even was their relationship now? Were they still boyfriend and girlfriend? Does his avoidance towards her mean that it's now over between them? Yoosung felt sick just thinking about it and banished the thought as quickly as it appeared. Although he had no idea what this meant with their relationship, it couldn't be over, could it? It couldn't just happen like that, right? But then, what else was it? A break? No, that felt wrong too. Then what?!

Yoosung groaned and rubbed his tired eyes. Emjay was his first love and having zero experience in relationships beforehand, he had no clue what the next steps were. He knew couples fought and there was the possibility of them breaking up, but he knew there was also the possibility of reconciling. But how was that going to happen in his and Emjay's relationship? Where would they even start? Their love wasn't exactly based on normal circumstances like normal couples were. The realisation made it feel like he'd hit a brick wall that was slowly encasing him, trapping him with layers upon layers that would eventually climb to heights that Yoosung would never be able to climb out of.

Frustrated and exhausted, Yoosung pulled the bed covers over his head, willing his mind to allow him to sleep, when a sudden crash erupted through the entire safe house, causing the boy to let out a shriek. Without a second thought, he leapt from the bed in the spare bedroom, exhaustion suddenly far from his mind before racing over to the bedroom door. He pulled it open with such force that he was surprised the door managed to stay intact with its hinges before speeding down the hallway to where he was sure the crash had come from.

As he ran, Yoosung prayed silently that one of the members had merely dropped a glass object, a bowl or a large cup by accident and it managed to echo around the safe house as though it had been attached to a loudspeaker, but even as he sprinted down the hallway, yoosung could already feel that something was horribly wrong. It didn't help that any of the other members weren't also racing down the hallway after him, wondering what had caused the noise. Hadn't they heard it? However, as he stumbled into the kitchen, his question was immediately answered.

Yoosung's eyes widened in horror as he stared around the kitchen, seeing the whole place wrecked with shards of glass lying across the floor and countertops. The kitchen sink taps had both been twisted to full capacity as water flowed from the brim of the sink like a waterfall, casting a thin, glossy layer across the floor that reflected the shards of glass, making it look as though there were more than there actually was. But what horrified Yoosung the most was what lay amongst the glass.

The RFA members.

Each of his beloved fellow members lay across the floor, the strands of their hair dampened by the water, their eyes half open as though their souls had left their bodies. And it was then that Yoosung finally noticed a blue liquid frothing from their lips mixed with their saliva that had foamed from their mouths like soapy water.

Overdose.

"NO, NO, NO, NO!" Yoosung cried as he ran to each of them, shaking their shoulders, begging them all to wake up. He begged out loud for this to be some sort of sick prank Seven thought of playing on the boy, but when Yoosung tried waking Seven up, felt for a pulse and gasped when he couldn't feel one, he knew this wasn't a prank at all.
