It had been a while since Jaehee smiled.

The sun floated halfway between the horizon, casting a crimson, orange hue across the cloudless sky. Even with the hundreds of trees surrounding the safe house, Jaehee could see the beauty from above.

She stood on the top floor of the safe house. It was a floor she only visited as that was where the laundrette suite was located, a place that she used to wash bedsheets. Emjay and Yoosung had offered to wash their own, worried that Jaehee was taking on too much work washing everyone's bedsheets for them, but Jaehee persisted. She liked the distraction. She needed the distraction.

Casting her eyes up to the two skylights fitted in the ceiling, Jaehee watched the colours of the sky blend and fade together like an aurora borealis. She had never seen one in person before, only through pictures but she could pretend she  was seeing one now as she gleamed at the colour-filled sky above her.

Jaehee frowned to herself as she thought back to the photos of the auroras she'd seen. They had been photos V had taken and showed her when he'd come back from his trip to Iceland. She could remember him telling her all about the crystal caves he explored, showing her the crystals that glistened against the camera's flash.

"But what I found most beautiful, was the Northern Lights" V said with a tiny smile as he presented the photo of a star-filled sky and what looked like green and blue mist floating in the air, casting the whole darkened area in its colour as though it was showing the world the power it held.

"What is that?" Jaehee asked, her eyes widened.

"Aurora Borealis" V scrolled through numerous photos he had taken as he explained. "They are visible solar particles that enter the earth's magnetic field and become ionized from the high temperatures"

V then scrolled further down until he came across a video he had taken. He pressed play on his phone screen.

Jaehee gasped in wonderment as the Northern Lights filtered across the sky at speeds she hadn't deemed were possible with anything on Earth. Her eyes tried to follow every movement the lights made which was almost impossible, but what fascinated her the most was how at the lowest layer of the lights, it looked as though tiny feet were tip-toeing across the sky like dancing ballerinas.

"I've sped up the video so that you can see how it moves, isn't it beautiful? Northern Lights actually happen during the day as well, but because of the sun, we can't see them"

Jaehee could never forget that day. She had seen many of V's photographs throughout the years and although he was a great photographer, nothing had marvelled her quite like the Northern Lights he had captured. Since then, Jaehee had grown a new fascination with the sky. She'd look up and study the space above her when she was tired or stressed and would wonder if the Northern Lights were dancing above her at that moment, cheering her on when she felt like giving up. It was a thought that had kept her going throughout the months when Yoosung had been kidnapped, and it continued to help her to this day.

"Where are you, V? Why have you left us in the dark like this?" Jaehee whispered to herself as she stared up at the oranges and reds, willing them to dance above her, willing them to cheer her on. She had lost count of how long it'd been since V took off after Emjay had almost been kidnapped by the hacker before Yoosung had been rescued. Neither of the members still hadn't heard from him, and the betrayal continued to seep painfully through her blood.

"Jaehee?"

The chief assistant let out a startled yelp before spinning on her heels, only to see a surprised Seven holding his hands up.

"Oops, didn't mean to scare you" he chuckled gently before approaching her.

"Ah, Luciel" Jaehee breathed a sigh of relief before curiosity filled her. "What brings you up here?"
