⚜ sixteen ⚜

A week passed and my days were solely devoted to serving the Marines and Navy. I prefer the sea as it always  gave me a quite solemn feeling. It was actually very interesting...that despite I know mostly everything, I was still learning. I can't forget the warm welcome they have given me. I also learned that every royal service branch even had a friendly bet on which branch will I serve. The Navy and Marines were so elated that a celebration was even held the day I committed my service. In my speech, I assured them that I will be  responsible at my service all the time but there isn't an assurance of the time of my service because anytime, an important task as a royal may be given to me. Despite the given situation, they are happy and proud to have me aboard.

Once again, in my dignified royal service uniform.

Uncle Mikhail always accompanied me as our duties are quite similar. Surveying and observing. Everything was truly interesting, exciting and exhausting that at night, I didn't have time to dream because I was too tired. Today, I was told that we're about to fly to another city.

I wasn't even surprised when he announced that our destination is Plyos.

Truly, he really had something to inspect in the city...

And knowing my uncle, he's quite true to his words.

After inspecting the small military base stationed in the city, we proceeded to the café where Ruis' stays.

Her parents' house turned into cafe'.

He was looking at me in silence as we were on our way to the place. I was wearing a pair of aviators, not minding his little meaningful smiles.  I would never deny that this is making me feel a bit antsy.

It's been weeks...

He cleared his throat.

"Are we almost there. I really need a dose of caffeine now."

"Your excellency, we're almost there."

The uniformed military related chauffer immediately responded.

"Well, well well... I am famished. Are they serving sweets there as well, Aleksandr?"

Still in my aviators, sight on the car's window  I answered without moving my head at his direction.

"I suppose. I'm not really sure what's going on there. It appears that the café is owned by some commoners and not Ruis."

"Oh?"

A bit surprised, he responded.

"I guess we'll see then."
