"Are you sure you don't need few of our men to stay with you here?"

I looked around the huge living room of the well taken care villa and nodded;

"I'll be back in a day or two, uncle. I'll have my own men follow me here. As well as Daniels."

"Okay. I trust that you'll be safe here... well, we'll fly back to Moscow in a while."

I watched the head of the Soviets as he elegantly settled himself on a solo couch and sipped from his cup of tea. Looking around, eyes finally settled on the huge smoky quartz tower rooted at the corner. His eyes lingered a bit more as though trying to recall something. Until he had spoken;

"Your wife looked devastated upon seeing you. I don't know son, but that look, made this old man truly sad."

I listened attentively but didn't have the energy to respond. Since yesterday, I was already feeling off. It could be an impending flu or something. I was so exhausted and sleep was truly impossible sometimes. I began to feel my back muscles sore. My stamina is impeccable but my thoughts ruin my body's capability to function well these days...even my appetite depleted which is quite unusual for a foodie like me. Even when I get sick, food is something I can't exempt...but nowadays, it's quite different.

I held my nape and made gentle stretches.

"Are you okay?"

My uncle asked while eyeing me from where he was seated. I was standing near the grand fireplace.

"I'm good. I'll be fine."

I paced around, trying to relax myself. Right now, I only have about four servants in this villa. I'll have my entourage come and follow me here first thing in the morning.

After Uncle Mikhail and his men left the villa I was assisted by the servants with everything I need. The room...which was Ruis', was neatly prepared instead of the other room which they didn't have time to put together. I didn't expect that stepping in this room would actually cause a memory decode.

Everything looked the same as though...

She still sleeps here.

All of her things...

The vanity table...

Her clothes...

Everything.

Funny but I can still hear her soft giggles.

I stood at the doorstep and just observed everything.

And once again felt disheartened at what I saw tonight.

How my wrath changed everything about her.

The sadness in her eyes.

The faint voice that indicated a missing confidence.

A thinner figure.
