People automatically greeted my husband and led him to the fireplace. His face as usual, in its serious manner- as he was known for yet he somehow graced them with a half smile unlike Daniels whose smile was from ear to ear. I took Sage from his hold and allowed our little one to roam around while watching him. I was helping Sarah earlier but since everything is almost done and we're only waiting for the cupcakes to be arranged, everyone began to gather in the living room. We talked and chatted for a short while until Luke and the rest began serving the newly cooked food on the serving table. Daniels helped by watching our little one...

I was seated across the single couch where he was comfortably settled and for a while there was a bit of a tension.

Even though things were okay between us for the past few days, I'm still a bit worried about his unpredictability.

He looks like he's not even happy to be here.

So serious.

Even the way he conversed earlier with everyone sounded a bit casual.

He had this automatic...dark shield on whenever he's facing people outside his circle. Like a mask.

And I noticed the number of hematite bangles he's wearing.

You can't really think something bad about him.

He's protected and it'll bounce back to the ill wisher.

He was staring at me but his mind... as though it was somewhere else.

I flattened the crease of my dress and sighed.

"A-are you alright?"

Still staring at me.

"I'll get you a glass of warm water..."

When I rose from the couch and was about to walk past him, he held my arm and looked up at me.

"I'm okay. Ruis... I'll stay the night. Is that okay?"

He loosened his hold and held my hand instead, gently squeezing.

"O-ofcourse... here? But... will the lounge-"

"No. Your room's okay. I'll sleep on the floor. Daniels will be staying at the villa."

I sighed;

"Are you sure? I'm sorry if the bed isn't suited for us three."

"It's fine. We've got everything we need right and the heater is fixed."

But the room is... very personal. It's like my little world.

He eyed me and probably noticed that I'm against the idea or better yet, he read my mind.
