"I'm surprised she didn't miss going out today. No wonder she asked us if we can watch this little monarch, for at least an hour as she wanted to get out and breathe some fresh air. You know, your highness, Ruru comes out every afternoon to sit exactly at that same spot under that very tree and just... you know maybe contemplate? I shouldn't be sharing this but...you are her husband and I think you ought to know."

Luke tried to stop Sarah from giving too much information as I watched my wife silently sit on that old wooden bench in complete silence and looking defeated. I went out to get some stuff from the villa and told her I'd be quick but it took me more than an hour. I came back by late afternoon made sure not to miss the early supper. It's still Christmas day so I assumed they would prepare it earlier.
It didn't take that long when Ruis began to weep in silence as though remembering so many painful things.
Sadness.
And it hurts.

"Everyday..."
I muttered.
"Yes, your highness. She does that everyday. We allow her cause... we think it's her way to cope up."
I slowly nodded.
But then she held her torso and looked up...
As though saying a prayer.
This look stirred something in me. Holding a part of her body like that.
"I'll be staying until the end of the year. I'll be spending time with her here. I suppose you will have to leave and spend the occasion with your families."
Luke and Sarah exchanged glances and simply nodded.
Sarah:
"K-Kynnei will be-"
"It's okay, she can stay with us. Chiron will be back to Greece for the remaining holidays as a royal obligation. So I'll have to stay here with Ruis and our son. I'll have you guys escorted by the Soviets to your perspective countries... and let us know when you plan to go back so you can be escorted back here."
What I said made the two really surprised- speechless.
