(Y/n) wraps her arms around herself. She wanted nothing more than to help William but she didn't know how.
He decided he needed to finish this alone; that much she knew.
The others don't know yet.
The woman is beside herself, pacing her room. Finally she decides to go to the parlor and express her feelings to her lover.

Albert is just walking out with a solemn expression.
(Y/n) makes eye contact and he manages a small smile.
"Good night." He whispers, bows his head then walks away.
(Y/n) walks into the room silently and sees the blonde laying on the couch.

"Since the day I chose to forfeit my life,
My heart's room has frozen still.
No noise can even reach
this body of mine, ready for death."

(Y/n) freezes and her whole body tenses.
What's he talking about? Why does he want to die so badly?

"A fate I chose myself,
My heart's room is bone-chilling cold.
However, at some point in time
A wind began to make my hair sway."

(Y/n) blushes softly and smiles.
Did I bring happiness into your life Will? Are you singing about me?

"Ooh in this lonely room,
Ooh the wind blows,
A warm, quiet wind caresses my cheek.
Ooh in this lonely heart,
Ah the wind blows."

(Y/n) frowns and rubs her arm slowly.
Lonely heart? So he isn't talking about me. I've not changed anything with him. I've failed as a lover. William, why do you keep me around?

"To be caressed by this wind, perhaps even god will allow me this.
Where does this wind come from?
I know. I do know."

(Y/n) looks at him, hope again coming back.
Is it me? Do I bring the wind? Will God allow me to stay with you? You know me William. Just share your burden with me.

"Ooh in this lonely room,
Ooh the wind blows,
A warm, quiet wind caresses my cheek.
Ooh in this lonely heart,
Ah the wind blows."

(Y/n) grips the necklace around her neck.
Tears stream down her cheeks slowly.
William I love you more than anything in this world. Please don't let go so soon, so easily. I want you to see the fruits of your labor. Let me make you less lonely.

"To be caressed by this wind, perhaps even god will allow me this...
Perhaps even god will allow me this..."

Slowly he sits up, his eyes squeezed closed as tears stream down his cheeks.
William walks to the window and looks outside.
"Sherly...what will you do?"
(Y/n) looks at him quickly.
Wait, Sherlock? Was he singing about Sherlock? The light in his life is Holmes?

"Darling, why are you crying?" William asks, pulling the woman from her thoughts.
(Y/n) makes eye contact with her lover.
The blonde walks over and wipes her tears with his thumb.
She does the same to him. "Will...do you love me, as I love you?"
The question takes the man by surprise.
"Of course I love you. You give me another reason to purify this world. Hope that a better future is near."
(Y/n) buries her face in his chest. "Please let me in then. Share your burden with me. I can't watch you do this alone."

William sighs and holds her close. "My darling, this is my cross to bear. When the final problem comes I will die but our goal will live on."
"The scarlet that stains your hands has tainted mine. Will you leave me behind to suffer alone?"
"You will have the others to rely on."
"And you have Sherlock Holmes."
The man frowns at the thought of the detective.
"Yes, he will save you. One way or another. My only request, selfish as it may be, please don't forget about me."
"(Y/n) I could never forget you. You are my causa sacrificii."
(Y/n) looks away.
