Olivia chewed on her bottom lip anxiously awaiting her reunion with her friends and family, but mostly Spencer. Yes, he'd told her that he'd be in LA waiting for her to come home but she knew that a lot could happen in three months.
She took a deep breath before coming around the corner and making her way down the escalator. She looked down, surprised to only see JJ waiting for her.
"Welcome home Liv!" JJ cheered as he wrapped her into a tight embrace.
Olivia relaxed in his hold, elated to be back within her vortex.
"I know you're probably wondering why I'm the one here to pick you up." JJ began as he took her luggage out of her hands and led her to the car. "But the rest of them were arguing about who was coming to get you and then I saw what time it was, so I slipped out when Jordan was telling Coop that wombmate came before boyfriends' childhood best friend in the will."
Olivia's laughter filled the car as JJ let the top down and made his way towards the Baker house. He knew that Mrs. Baker had missed her daughter more than she would say to anyone other than Ms. Grace and Denise. It wasn't easy to let her daughter go to the other side of the world, but Laura knew that this trip was something that Olivia needed.
JJ parked his car in the driveway and relaxed into the seat, "Take your time Liv. She really missed you."
Olivia took a deep breath before opening the door to her childhood home, instantly at peace at the sounds of her mother and Ms. Grace's voices.
"Layla, is that you? We found the perfect welcome home gift for Liv, and we want you to see it." Laura called from the kitchen.
Olivia quietly rounded the corner, tears welling in her eyes as she looked upon her mother.
"Hi Mommy." Liv sobbed out before rushing towards Laura.
Laura's shock wore off quickly as she wrapped her baby girl into a tight embrace.
"My baby is home; my sweet girl is finally home." Laura cried over and over again.
Olivia allowed herself to sink into the warmth that had nurtured her for as long as she could remember, soothed by the words that her mother whispered to her.
"I missed you so much Mom, so so much." Liv cried.
Laura held her tighter, running her hands over Olivia's back.
"Welcome home my love."
As Olivia and Laura pulled apart, Olivia tucker herself into the arms of Grace James.
"Welcome back Olivia, you've been missed." Grace whispered as she squeezed her.
"It's really good to be home. London was amazing but I'm starting to realize that nothing compares to being home with your people."
Olivia showed both Mom's photos and they took their time catching up until the heard some familiar voices from the hall.
"All I'm saying is that I should go get her, I'm her roommate." Coop said.
"I'm her roommate and best friend." Layla returned.
"I'm her favorite." Patience added in.
"Ladies, can you come here for a minute?" Laura called to them.
Their jaws all hit the floor at the sight of Olivia Baker seated at the table with her mother.
"Don't ruin the surprise for the boys." Ms. Grace chided as the girls all climbed over the other to get to Olivia.
Coop made it to her first, spinning the two of them in circles as she hugged Olivia before passing her towards Patience.
Patience rocked them back and forth in her warm embrace, placing a quick kiss to Olivia's cheek before moving aside for Layla.
