To my sister, thanks for bullying me into finally finishing this chapter.

The final part to Runaway Love and Mad At Me,

---

Olivia stared up at the ceiling, her thoughts running marathons in her head, as Lauryn Hill crooned over her speakers.

It could all be so simple.

But you'd rather make it hard.

Loving you is like a battle.

And we both end up with scars.

Maybe it was best for everyone is she finally sat down with Spencer to finally deal with their breakup. She was tired of having to answer questions about it, he clearly wanted to talk to her about it since he was leaving her messages every day, and maybe closure is what she needed to quiet her thoughts.

Olivia rolled towards her nightstand, grabbing her phone and clicking onto the messages she shared with Do Not Answer.

"We need to talk."

----

Spencer was seated on the couch watching a basketball game with JJ, Jordan, and Asher when his phone chimed, drawing the attention of them all.

Spencer leaned forward to glance at the phone, shooting straight up when he saw Olivia's name on the screen.

"It's Liv." He said softly.

"So, open it! What did she say?" JJ pushed.

Spencer's face drained as he read over those four words.

"She said we need to talk."

Asher tried and failed to hide his grimace, Jordan reached over to pat Spencer's back, and JJ quickly shifted his focus back to the TV.

"She's been avoiding me since she came back from Atlanta, and now she wants to talk? The last time we were face to face, she told me that she didn't trust me and that she didn't want to hear me try and apologize to her again. What could she possibly want to talk about?" Spencer rambled.

"Only one way to find out. Text her back." Asher suggested.

Taking a deep breath, Spencer typed his response, hoping that whatever Olivia wanted to talk about wouldn't end with her removing him from her life all together.

"Okay, did you have a time in mind for this conversation?"

Spencer almost chocked when he read her response.

"I'm free now, can you swing by my place? It shouldn't take long."

Spencer stood, wiping his palms onto his pants and grabbed his keys.

"She wants to talk right now?" Jordan shouted.

"Yeah, so I'm gonna head that way."

Spencer was doing his best to appear calm, but his heart was beating out of his chest. He could not afford for Olivia to close the door on their relationship, not when he knew that she was the woman he'd spend the rest of his life in love with.

---

Olivia sat on the couch waiting for Spencer to make his way to her so she could finally get the weight she'd been carrying off of her chest. This would be the last night that she held onto her anger, and sadness. She wouldn't be shedding any more tears for her breakup.

The sound of the doorbell broke her from her thoughts, and she took a deep breath before going to open the door.

"Hey, come on in." She greeted with a small smile, making sure to avoid eye contact. If Spencer could look her in the eyes, he could read her before she even said what she needed to say.
