A/N: In honor of them returning to us tomorrow, I Figured I'd explore a little bit of Liv's perspective with this one!

Nine days was a long time to be away from your spouse and nine days became even longer when you couldn't end the trip early and go home to your husband. Liv had been busting her ass in New York and as amazing as it was to be in rooms filled with other amazing journalists, she really missed her man.

The longest Spencer and Olivia had been away from each other was one week and they were miserable the entire time they were apart. This trip was proving that nothing had changed on that front, Olivia would still rather be with Spencer than anywhere else.

She had made her way up to her room, ready to unwind and hopefully get a chance to talk to her husband. She didn't bother changing out of her clothes, she just kicked her shoes off and grabbed her phone, not wanting to waste another minute not hearing the sound of Spencer's voice.

"Hey, Baby." Spencer's voice sounded angelic through the phone, sending an instant wave of calm to wash over her.

Olivia began to tell him all about her day and arrange her clothes for the following day when she heard a knock on the door.

"Someone's at my door." Olivia stated, going straight to the peep hole to try and see who would be bothering her this late.

"This late? It's almost 10 PM." Spencer said.

"I don't see anyone in the hallway. Should I open the door?" Olivia asked, knowing that if she'd been with her husband, he would have been the one to open the door or the reason the knocking went ignored all together.

"Yeah, someone could have left something for you and it's too small to be seen from the peep hole."

Olivia, trusting her husband's judgement, opened the door and glanced down the hall to see the man she'd fallen head over heels for, standing in front of her. She squealed before jumping into his arms, suddenly feeling more awake than she had when she called him.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, buzzing with excitement.

Spencer held her tight, breathing her in, as he explained that he missed her too much to go two full weeks without seeing her. Olivia kissed him harder, surrendering herself to wherever Spencer would lead them next, when her stomach growled, reminding them both that Liv needed to be fed.

Spencer handled ordering the food while Liv thought about how she'd be able to convince him to shower with her. He had asked her if she wanted to watch a movie while they ate, she'd never turn that down, and then she slowly opened the shower door.

"Babe, get in with me." Olivia softly directed him, wanting nothing more than to feel him against her again.

Spencer removed his clothes and entered the shower with no hesitation. They stood under the water, locked tight in an embrace, taking each other in.

"I missed you so much." Spencer whispered. "I'm never letting you leave for that long again."

Olivia smiled against his chest, knowing the feeling of missing her man when he'd be on the road for away games.

"I always sleep in one of your shirts when we're not together." Liv began. "It started in college, but I don't think I could stop now if I tried. It helps me feel closer to you, even when you're far away."

"I'm used to being the one that's gone so having to try and sleep in our bed without you there just feels wrong." Spencer said as he washed Liv's back.

"I'll admit, it was really hard at the beginning. When we first moved in together, it was almost impossible for me to sleep when you weren't next to me. I would get in bed and curl up against you, listening to your heartbeat, letting your presence lure me to sleep. Then your season started and some days you were home and other days you were gone. So, I started to borrow your shirts so that I could try and convince my brain that you were close enough for me to sleep."

Spencer smiled as he thought of the shirts that had become hers over the years that they've been together. All of his old Crenshaw High shirts and hoodies have belonged to Olivia longer than they ever belonged to him, same with his Beverly clothing. Even his varsity letterman jacket was in her possession, he'd let her wear it one night after a date and Olivia held onto it.

"You have to admit," Liv started as she moved to rinse off before turning the water off and grabbing a towel. "I look pretty good in your clothes."

Spencer wrapped his towel around his waist before scooping Olivia up in a warm embrace and carrying her to the bed.

"You look great in my clothes." Spencer whispered out as he kissed Liv's neck. He moved to open her towel but a knock on the door grabbed their attention first.

"Room service."

Liv softly pushed Spencer off of her so that he could answer the door, silently watching the muscles in his back as he walked away from her.

Spencer slid some sweat pants on before grabbing his wallet to tip whoever had brought their food up. Spencer made sure to keep his broad shoulders in the center of the door, blocking Olivia from sight. No one got to see what was under that towel but him and he was going to keep it that way.

Spencer grabbed their food and returned to Liv, almost dropping everything in his hands when he saw that she'd taken the towel off and was waiting for him.

"I thought you wanted to eat and go to bed?" Spencer inquired as he placed their food on the table and slowly moved toward the end of the bed.

Olivia sat up so that she was kneeling on the bed in front of him. She brought a hand to the gold chain that he wore, gently tugging on it, moving Spencer closer to her lips.

"I thought I'd be a gracious host and let you eat first." Olivia whispered as she ghosted kisses along his neck. She smirked when Spencer's hands moved to lay her back on the bed. "You really thought you were gonna make it two weeks without this?" Liv teased as Spencer kissed down her body.

"Clearly I lost my mind for a minute." Spencer agreed, still painting kisses on her skin, moving closer and closer to her center. "You gonna let me make it up to you?" Spencer asked as he slid one finger over her clit, smirking as Liv nodded her head before moaning.

----

Hours later when Liv's alarm blared, Spencer leaned over to turn it off. Laughing to himself at the sight of his wife's disheveled curls. He relaxed into the pillows as he rubbed Liv's back to gently wake her, wondering how he ever deprived himself of the chance to wake up next to her, and smiling softly to himself, grateful that he got to spend the rest of his life waking up next to the beautiful sight of his wife.
