And we're back for part two, hope you all enjoy!

---

It started with her coffee order. Spencer knew that Liv had a nine AM class so for a week straight he'd been bringing coffee to her class and waiting for her to show up so he could give it to her. The first day she ignored him, the second day she took it without a word, the third day she thanked him and went on her way, but on day four he got a smile, and he knew that he was working his way back in slowly.

His schedule was still crazy, but it hadn't been difficult to work in walking Liv to class. She was totally against the idea at first, "That doesn't need to happen. I can walk myself just fine and I don't want to send the wrong message around campus."

"What message is me walking you to class sending?"

"That we're back together, and we are not back together."

He'd walked her there anyway. He'd attempted to give her his jacket one day when it was a little cooler out, but she shrugged it off quickly. That didn't deter him, and by the middle of the second week of walking her to class they were able to do so with a smile instead of a scowl.

He'd been asking her out for weeks now and she kept turning him down. He wanted a chance to take her out and show her that things were different, but she kept saying they weren't ready for that. So, he shifted his focus onto repairing their friendship. He listened when she needed an ear, watched when she needed eyes, and talked when she needed advise. The distance was closing quickly, and he couldn't say that he was disappointed with that.

He did notice that she was receiving quite a few date invites from different men on campus, even a few of his teammates, and that's what pissed him off. He knew that he couldn't be upset if she went out with any of them because she was still single, even if his heart fully belonged to her, she didn't trust him with hers yet.

He never stopped trying and very quickly three months had passed. Nine months since they'd first broken up, and he didn't want to make it any farther than that.

He had asked her to come to the beach house to do homework when really, he'd kicked the boys out to turn their back patio into an outdoor theatre to revive a sacred tradition, movie night.

For the first time in nine months Olivia allowed Spencer to hold her as they took in the pass time that bonded them together all those years ago.

After that night they both felt lighter, the hard part was dealt with, and now they could lean into the newness of their relationship.

Spencer asked her out on a date and this time her answer was yes.

He was currently standing in his room, staring at the clothes in his closet, hoping that something would scream at him that is was the perfect outfit for tonight.

"Spence? Do you know what time JJ is supposed to be back?" Jordan asked as he pushed the door open. "What happened to your room?"

"I'm trying to find something to wear." Spencer mumbled as he continued to rifle through his clothes.

"But you never put this much effort into your appearance, who are you trying to impress? Does my sister know?"

Spencer ignored Jordan and pulled on a button-down shirt, doing his best to calm his nerves.

"I know that Liv dating again was hard to hear but maybe you two seeing other people is a good thing. Eric is a nice guy and I'm sure this girl is great too, so you should enjoy yourself tonight."

Spencer clenched his jaw and silently reminded himself that Jordan was one of his best friends so he would not punch him in the face before his date.

"J, I'm not seeing anyone else. I'm going out with Olivia. I don't want to be late and you're starting to distract me."
