Chapter 29: Beach and Plans

~Austin's POV~
"Do you like me?" She asked. Oh fuck was the first thing that came in my head.

"What?" I asked her. "Its not a hard question. Do you like me?" She repeated herself. I gulped. "As a friend? Yes." I said. "Austin. You know what I mean. Do you like me more than a friend?" She said. "No." I said quickly. "Okay." She said. She looked upset. I think she likes me.

I look in my closet for my swim trunks. I feel regret now, I should've told her right then. I turn to look at her, she is putting stuff in her beach bag. I go in the bathroom and changed in my trunks. I exit and she is fixing her shirt. I go over and put a shirt over me. "You ready?" I asked. "Yeah." She said. She went to grab her bag but, I grabbed it before she could. "I got it." I said. She looked at me and smiled.

We exit the room and head downstairs. "Dang Mahone! She got you carrying her stuff." Zach said as he was walking past us down the stairs. "He offered Zach." She said. "Aw! His sign of flirting." He said. "Shut up Zach. I have manners at time." I said. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He said and opens the door and gets outside.

We walk out the door and put the stuff in the trunk of the car. I only brought a towel. Kenzie brought the main things. I put my towel in her bag. "Where the boards?" I asked. "I got them." Robert said from behind me. He was wearing blue and black trunks, white shirt, and some man flip flops.

"What you checking me out?" He said to me. I was starring at his outfit. "No I was checking out your outfit not you." I said. He smiled. He puts the board in the back. I hop in the car beside Kenzie. "Aw! Look the love birds are sitting next to each other." Zach said. I rolled my eyes. I am getting tired of his bullshit.

We got in the car and headed to the beach. Music was blasting in the car and we were all singing in the car but Kenzie and Alex. I understand Alex because he doesn't like to sing, but will join when he wants. But Kenzie? I don't know?

"Why don't you sing along?" I asked her. I had to closer to her because it was to loud. "I can't sing." She said. "Girl! You are lying. You sing beautiful." I said complimenting her. She blushes a little and it is so cute.

"Come on just sing along have fun." I said. She smiled and I sat back straight. The song finished and One Direction comes on. "Yes!! Live While We Are Young is my song." She said, we all looked at her and laughed.

She was singing along and having fun. I need to look up One Direction. I heard that they are good. But I doubt it. But I will listen to any music so I will give it a try. And plus if Kenzie loves it, then I have to hear it. I want to know what she listens.

"We are here." Alex said. I look out the window and see the beach. It is beautiful. "Come on." Robert said. Kenzie gets out and I follow her to the back of the car. I get the surf boards and she gets her bag.

We get over there and Zach and Alex go for a wave. I sit and take off my shirt. Robert sits next to Kenzie and chat. I get my board and carry it over to the water. I settle it on top of the water. I hop on and go over to Alex and Zach.

"Hey man." Alex says. "Did your girl finally let you hang out with your friends?" Zach said playfully. I just smiled. "Can I ask you something?" Alex said. "Okay, what?" I said. "Do you like her?" He ask. Zach look interested in what I was going to say. "Yes." I said truthfully. "I fucking knew it. I told you." Zach said as he puts his hands in the air.

"Ask her out." Zach said so excited. "Yes dude, you need to ask her out." Alex said agreeing with Zach. I turn around to look at her. She was talking with Robert. "It is obvious you like her." Alex said. "Like it is obvious she likes you." Zach said. "She did ask me if I liked her this morning." I said. "What?!? What you said?" They said at the same time. "I said no." I said. "Oh my g-, Austin!" Zach said. "Really? Are you kidding me?" Alex said. "What?" I said confused. "You idiot! You were supposed to say yes! YES! Was it hard to say yes." Zach said

"Bruh, this is what you are going to do to ask her out." Alex said thinking of a plan. I turned over to look over at Kenzie. She was laughing and so was Robert. She was also tanning. "We are going to help you out." Zach said. "So this is what you are going to do." Alex said. I need to pay attention.

~Kenzie POV~
"Kenzie, you should go out with Austin." Robert said from the no where. "Uh, why?" I asked. "Because the two of you would look cute." He said. I feel weird. "He doesn't like me like that." I said. "Okay, do you like him?" He asked. "Umm. Maybe a little?" I said. "Oh, I get it. You do." He said smiling. He looked really happy. "Yes. Okay, I do like him." I said.

"Wait! Aren't you my ex? I thought you would be mad?" I said confused. "Yeah, but, I want you happy and if you are happy with someone then I will be okay with it. But if you and Austin go out and he hurts you, then I will cut him." He said seriously. I just laughed and Robert did to.

"Kenzie, I will always have your back." He said. I smiled. "So what am I going to do?" I said. "Oh, yeah right." He said. "This is what your going to do." He said thinking of a plan. I need to pay attention.
