Chapter 19: Michele Mahone

~ Austin's POV ~

     I walk up to the front door leaving Kenzie behind. I heard the same old knock I have heard a million times. I open the door and see my mom. My wonderful mom. I love my mom so much. I will do anything for her. I hug her and she hugs me back. I smile because I miss her. I have a soft spot for her.

     "Hey hun, I have missed you so much. You are so grown up." She said with her eyes watering. The last time she saw me was when I was 17. I left the house at 17 because I got into the gang life.

    "Momma I missed you too." I said.

     "Hey Mrs. Mahone." Robert said coming in from behind me.

     "Hey momma." Zach said coming aswell. It turned out to become a group hug.

     "Mrs. Mahone, I haven't seen you in a minute." Alex said with a smile. My mom always considered Alex as another son, she considered all of them as a son, but mostly Alex. He entered the group hug and we all hugged her tightly.

     "Okay you guys, I can't breathe." She said, we all let go of her. Zach grab her luggage from her hands and took it inside.

     "Mom let's go eat. I am hungry." I said. We all move to the dinner room. We all sat down and Kenzie comes in smiling. Her smile is so perfect I thought.

     "Mom, this is Kenzie. Kenzie this is mom." I said introducing them to each other. My mom smiles at her, Kenzie smiles at her back.

    "Hello honey, I am Michele Mahone." My mom said. Kenzie smiled at her.

     "Hello I am Kenzie. Nice to meet you Mrs. Mahone." With her hand sticking out for me mom to shake. Mom shook her hand and smiled.

     "Call me Michele or Mama Mahone, that's what they all call me." Mom said. Kenzie just smile and sat down.

     Kenzie sat next to Robert on his left side. Zach on the other side of Robert. Alex next to Zach. Alex sat next to mom. Mom sat next to me. And I sat next to mom and Kenzie.

     We all have ate dinner so we are just sitting there and talking. I think my mom likes Kenzie. To be fair, she is the first girl she met that hangs with us. Well except Sarah.

     The thought of Sarah makes me look at Alex. I know he still likes her. I had kept in touch with her but we just stop talking. But before we stop talking she had told me that if Alex ever did ask her out again she would say yes. Alex hasn't tried to contact her yet. They were such a cute couple.

     Alex broke up with her because she once did help us with one of our crimes. But we were really close from getting caught. After that we came home and Alex and Sarah had a long talk. She left tears in her eyes and he looked broken. He told us what had happen. He loved her so much he couldn't risk losing her or putting her in jail.

     He cried all night and day. He wouldn't eat, sleep or leave his room. We had to bang on his door to enter his room. But it only lasted like 2 weeks. After that he has been better. He hasn't dated anyone else or talked to any other girls. Girls will approach him but he will always ignore them.

      "Austin are you okay? You are way to quiet." Mom said. I nodded reassuringly.

     "Yeah I am fine." She nodded. She got up and took her plate to the sink. We all follow her and put our plates in the sink.

     "I will wash them." Kenzie said volunteering as tribute.

     "Nah, I got it babe. Go sit in the living room and talk to mama." Robert said. She nodded and walked out the kitchen door with my mom beside her.

~ Kenzie POV ~

     Me and Michele sit on the couch and talk. "You and Robert look so cute." She said. I blushed.

     "Thanks." I looked over at the kitchen and see Robert washing dishes and the rest are cleaning up the table and throwing trash away. I turned back to Michele and finish up are conversation.

     Its almost two in the morning and we are up. We are watching a show, Family Guy. I love this TV show. I would always watch it at home. I yawn and rub my eyes. I am sitting next to Robert on one chair. Alex and Austin on another and Zach on the floor. He is a weird little fellow.

     My eyes feel heavy and they close. I open them real quick. I stand up and stretch. "I am going to bed." I said rubbing my eyes.

     "Yeah we all should. Its about to to be two." Alex said agreeing with me. They all get up and go up the stairs. Austin turns off the TV. Robert grabs my hand and we walk up the stairs.

     We get on top of the stairs and Rob kisses me on my mouth. I kiss him back.

     "Go to your room love birds." Austin said interrupting us. Robert just smiles on the kiss.

     "Night babe." I said.
   
    "Night baby. Sweet dreams." He said back. I go in my room and see Austin getting in his bed shirtless. I block my view of him by putting my hand on the side of my eyes. I grabbed my sweats and a tank top and changed in the bathroom.

I come out and turnoff the lights and jump on my bed. Austin makes movements on his side of the room. I know he is awake.

     "Austin, I like your mom. She is such a fun person and she is so cool." He turns to face my side of the bed.

     "Everybody likes her." I giggled. 

     "Alright. Goodnight Austin." I said.

     "Goodnight Kenzie. Don't let the bed bugs bite." I laughed quietly and closed my eyes. He can be such a dork.

Its so cute.
