Chapter 23: Mall

~ Austin's POV ~
I head downstairs and Robert is not here. I am some what happy because then it would of been awkward. Alex, Zach, and my mom are down here eating already. "Morning." Alex said. "Morning." I said. "Where is Robert and Kenzie?" Alex asked. "Yeah, where are they?" Zach said. "Robert is tired so he is sleeping and Kenzie will be coming soon." I said. I don't want to tell them that we are arguing without Kenzie and Robert permission. "Oh, okay." Zach said. "I am glad you cleaned up the kitchen." My mom said changing the subject. I felt myself turn red and I smiled.

"Morning guys." Kenzie said piping up out of the nowhere. She looks like she has never cried in her life. She is still beautiful, crying or not. "Morning." They guys said in sync. "You looking pretty today." My mom said, Kenzie blushed. She looks so fucking cute when she blushes. She walks over in the kitchen to get a plate. "Eat up." I said once she sat right back down.

~After Breakfast~

"Are you guys ready yet!" I yelled through the house. My mom wasn't going because she wants to unpack. She knows to pack a little bit. I am waiting for Zach and Alex, Kenzie was already. Robert isn't going he wants time to think. "I thought I was the girl." Kenzie said, I laughed. She giggled. "I HEARD THAT!" Zach said. She laughed. "Alex comes downstairs looking like Alex. Zach comes down the same. "Zach you didn't even change." Kenzie said. "Because I didn't change." He said very serious. "Then why in the fuck did we wait?"I said. "Hey, my hair has to be perfect." He said. Kenzie busted out laughing so did Alex. "Oh,god! Zach next time we are leaving your ass." I said trying not to laugh.

We walk out the house. "Hey me and Alex need to run to do some thing." Zach said. "You guys going one car and we will go in other car, Okay?" Zach asked. "Like what things?" I asked. "Like non of your business things." He said. "Fine! Just if you need back up call us. Don't get caught. Also let Alex drive." I said setting down the rules, they nodded. "Bye." I said. "Okay, bye. We will meet up in the mall some where." Alex said. I nodded.

They go in the white Tahoe and we go in my car, my red Range Rover. I unlock the doors and open the door for Kenzie she gets in, "Thanks." She said. I smiled and I closed the door. I go in the driver seat crank up my car. I leave the drive thru, Zach and Alex have already left. I start driving on the road. "So we are going to the mall then the ice cream shop and then back." I said. "Okay." She said. She looks like she is holding something back.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "I am fine." She said looking down. "No your not. Usually when girls say that they're "fine" They aren't really fine." I said. "Its nothing I swear." She said. "Okay, but if you want to talk about it, I am here and so is Zach and Alex. You can talk to either of us." I said, she nodded. "Do you want to listen to music?" I asked. "Sure." She said. I turned the radio on. Taylor Swift came on, it was you belong with me.

As the song plays comes on I think of Kenzie. She belongs with me literally. Not with Robert, Robert would fall in love with every girl he sees. I want to tell Kenzie that but I don't think she will believe me. "What is wrong with you? You okay?" She asked me. I turned to her and looked in her eyes,"Huh?" I asked. "What is wrong with you? You okay?" She repeated herself. "Nothing...." I said slowly. "Austin?" She asked me. "What?" I said. "Tell me." She said.

I took a deep breathe.

~ Kenzie's POV ~
"Tell me." I said. He took a deep breathe. "Its just..." He said. "Robert... would fall in live with every girl he sees. And I am not really sure when he says, 'I love you' he really doesn't mean it." He said. I feel my heart breaking in more tiny pieces. "What?" I said. I was at the edge of crying. "Yeah. He would like every girl he sees. We can be walking down the street and be like 'She is cute.' and fall in love. It was funny at first but now we notice how he would do it. So I am just saying, not all I love you's are real." He said. "Okay." Is all I could choke out. My eyes were watering.

He looks over at me and says, "No, don't cry. I am sorry, I shouldn't have said that." I wiped my fallen tear. I don't want to cry anymore but I can't stop. I wipe the next tear. "Listen, once we get to the mall I will buy you new clothes, shoes, jewelry, anything you want." He said trying to make me feel better. "Austin, no. I don't need items. Don't waste your money on me. You will need it sooner or later. I don't want to feel like I am using you for money. I will feel bad." I said. "You won't feel bad. I volunteer to buy you clothes." He said. "Austin it is fine. I don't need it." I said rejecting his offer.

"Listen you are making me feel bad if you don't accept it. Do you want to make me feel bad?" He asked. " No.." I said. "Good! Then I am going to buy you some clothes and if you still reject then I will never talk to you and I won't take you out anymore." He said. "Fine!" I said. "Yes!" He said so happy. I giggled. "Double yes!" He said. I looked at him confused. "I made you smile and you accepted my offer." He said. I smiled again.

~Skip The Rest Of The Car Ride.~
"Okay we are here." Austin says. I look out my window and see the mall. "Hey do you see my shades?" He asked. I look around and see it between the cracks. "Found it." I said. I reached out for it and so did Austin. I felt his shades in my hands. I looked up and seen his face right in front of mine. He licked his lips and his eyes were beautiful. "Umm." I said. "Shush. Don't talk." He said.

He leaned in.
