Chapter 26: Friends

~ Kenzie's POV ~
"Austin!" I yelled. Robert was getting up and going after Austin. Austin turns around and falls as soon as Robert hit him. "Robert stop!" I yelled because Robert was on top off Austin punching his face. "Help!" I yelled to catch someone's attention. I go over to Robert and try to push him off of Austin. Austin punched Robert on his check. I finally pulled him off and Alex and Zach comes holding Robert.

"Austin! Are you okay?" I asked. Austin had a black eye forming on his left eye. "Kenzie! Get away from him. You are not his." He said. "And I am not yours either! We are over! I don't ever want to see again. Don't even try to talk to me!" I yelled at his face. Austin lip was bleeding. "What happened here?" Michele said coming up from the stairs. "Austin!" She said. She comes next to me and Austin.

"Kenzie, I am sorry. I didn't mean-" "Shut it. I don't want your sorry. Go fuck yourself." I said interrupting Robert. "Let's go." Zach said. He pulled Robert from away the scene. "Austin come with me to the bathroom. We need to fix you up." I said. Michele and I picked him up and take him to our room. I go in the bathrrom and I get the first aid kit. "Austin what happened?" Michele asked him. His eye was swollen, his lips was busted, he was getting a black eye, and his check was red and fat. He tried to talk but it couldn't slip out."No, Austin be quiet. Kenzie what happened?" She turned to me.

"Okay, well when we were comes back from the mall we were putting the bags in the room. Robert came up to me and asked if we could talk. I said no because I needed time to think. He was getting angry and he was pulling on my arm but I kept denying him. He was pulling my arm and it was hurting me. Then Austin came in and saw how he was hurting me. Austin told Robert to let go of me and Robert said no. Then Robert was hurting me more and Austin went charging at Robert and he was on the ground. That's when they started fighting." I said finishing. Michele was cleaning up Austin and then stopped.

"What did Robert want to talk about?" She asked. "About our relationship. You see were arguing and we broke up." I said trying to fill her in. "Oh, okay." She said. My eyes started to water. I can't believe that Austin fought Robert because of me. "Oh no honey. Don't cry." Michele. "Kenzie. Don't cry. It will be okay, I am fine." Austin said. "Come here. Come talk to me." She said pulling me to a side. "Austin go in the bathroom and wash your face." She told Austin.

"What is wrong." She asked. "Everything." I said. "I broke up with my boyfriend, my ex fought your son, your son is beat up pretty bad, you probably hate me because it is all my fault." I said. "No, listen. It is not your fault. It was Robert's fault. He was hurting you and Austin just helped you. I don't hate you, I am happy that you didn't get hurt. Austin has a soft spot too. I know he will help anyone in danger. But he can be hard as a rock. That's the side every knows. He can me prince charming, but then turn to an evil, bad person." She said. "Its not your fault." She said. She hugged me and I hugged her back. "Thank you." I said.

Austin comes out all cleaned up and looks a bit better. "What time is it?" He asked. "6:24" Michele said looking at her watch. "Okay." He said. I feel really bad for him. "Kenzie." Someone said from behind me. I turned around and looked at Alex who is peeking his head out the door. "Robert want to see you. He won't stop crying. He says he is going to kill himself." He said.

"I will go." "No Kenzie. Let me go with you." Austin said interrupting me. "No Austin you are staying right here, they need to talk things through. Plus I need to talk to you." Michele said. "If he starts hurting you are going crazy, just scream and I will be there." Austin said. I nodded. I followed Alex out the door.

"He looks torn." Alex said. I looked at him worried. "Zach has been calming him down." He said. "Did he tell you why he is mad?" I asked him. He nodded, "Yes. The dream and everything." I looked at him with my eyes widen. "Did he tell you what happened in the dream?" I said. He stopped for a minute and looked down. "Yeah." He said softly. He is obviously torn too. "Oh, I am sorry." I said. "It's fine." He said. He is trying to hide his feelings.

"Robert just stop saying that." Zach said as we entered. Robert looked up and seen me. "Babe." He said and hugged me. I didn't hug him back. "Don't call me babe." I said serious. "Come on Zach, let's get out. Let them have there time. Zach nodded and thy left. "I am sorry." He said. "Listen Robert." "Wait before you say anything, just hear me out. And then tell me how you feel at the end." He said interrupting me. "Fine."

"For starters, I am very sorry. I didn't mean to fight with Austin. I just got jealous because you were with him and not me. When you left to go to the mall with Austin, I thought that you were already forgetting about me. I couldn't deal with the fact that you were with Austin. I felt so stupid that I said that we were over. I just wanted to go after you but I couldn't. I knew you didn't need to see me right after I said that. Right after you left I was crying and angry with myself. I was so stupid for saying that. Listen I really love you. Please give me a second chance. Please?" He said. He had tears in his eyes.

"Alright listen here. I know you are sorry but I forgive you. When you told me that I thought I was dreaming. I was expecting you to come after me but you didn't. I waited for the moment someone will hop out from behind the door and say I just got punk'd but it didn't happened. I waited to wake up from a horrible nightmare but I didn't. I waited for you to show up at the mall but you didn't show up. I waited to see you at the door when I got back you didn't. I just can't believe you fought Austin. So I am not the one who needs to be apologized to. And I can't go back out with you. We are over. I am sorry." I said.

"Okay. I uh.." He said swollowing hard. "I understand. But can I ask you one thing?" He said. I nodded. "Can we still be friends?" He asked. "I don't know. I think we can but, I don't want any funny business." I said. He smiled and got up. "Okay, and I am really sorry." He said. "But you need to apologize to Austin too." I said. "Okay, I will." He said. "I pinky promise I won't hurt you or do any funny business. I will be your best friend." He said holding out his pinky. "Okay." I said giggling at his dorkyness.

I walk out the room and Austin is standing out the door. "Your next. You need to talk to him." I said. "We are cool. He wants to talk to you." I said. Austin nodded and went in. He closed the door and I stood at the door and Zach andAlex are there. "Are you back with him?" Zach asked. "No, we agreed to be friends." I said. "Okay." Zach said and Alex nodded.

We are friends.  Let's see how Robert and Austin end up.

Sorry guys it took forever for me to update. I am sorry. I tried to make this pretty long for you guys. I am not sure if I will be able to update tomorrow. I have to study for my exams. I have Exams tomorrow and Thursday. I will try but I am not promising anything.
