Cam has been my boyfriend for two weeks officially and I haven't seen him in a week. The last time I saw him was at the regional qualifiers where both of our bands placed within .03 of a point. Valley just barely beat us. But we both qualified for regionals.

And since then, both of our bands had been in overdrive for rehearsals. Jonesy had us in rehearsals every day after school until 5. Poor Cam was stuck in rehearsals until 6, sometimes even 7 if drumline needed some extra work.

Cam: i miss youuuuuu

Cam: its homophobic that mack and jones are making us rehearse this much

Me: I hate it. I hate not seeing you.

Cam: awww you miss me?

Me: Yeah obviously

Cam: gay

Me: NVM THEN!

Cam: LMAO

Cam: i also miss you, obviously.

Me: Yeah

Cam: wyd rn

Me: Texting you and technically my chemistry homework.

Cam: cool cool

Cam: you totally need help with your chem homework right

Cam: and will totally tell your mom that i'm over to help you with your homework if i happen to show up in about 20 minutes

Me: Seriously?!

Cam: if that's ok with you

Me: Get over here

I quickly texted my mom.

Me: Can my friend Cam come over to help me with this chemistry homework? It's due tomorrow before we leave for regionals and I'm just not getting it at all. He has like a 100 average in the class and offered to help me out.

Mom: Sure! Lights out by 11 though, it is a school night and you have an early day.

Me: Thank you mom!

Twenty minutes later, I heard the doorbell ring. I raced down to beat my mom but couldn't. Cam was standing in the doorway in one of my band hoodies and black joggers, he looked so pretty. And he was talking with my mom.

"Hey there, you must be Cameron, right?" My mom asked.

"Yeah, I'm here to help Hayden with that stupid chemistry homework. Honestly, I don't even know why our teacher bothered to assign it, we barely had enough time in class to cover it," He explained, "But it is a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Cross."

"Please just call me June. You boys have fun, I'm going to run some errands. Hayden, do you want anything special for the week from the store?" She turned to me.

"Just some more electrolyte packets, thank you mom." I smiled.

"Alright, love you." She walked past Cam with a smile.

"Love you too, Mom." She closed the door.

Both Cam and I paused, waiting to hear her car start. He kissed me the second her engine started, "Hey." I grinned.

"I have missed you so much." He hugged me.

"How were you able to convince Tom to let you out of the house?" I asked, leaning into the hug.

"Oh, I just didn't tell him. Logan dropped me off." He shrugged, "It looks like I'm still home and I even left a couple of pillows sleeping in my bed. Tom won't suspect a thing."
