My gaze remained fixated at my ‘Serene’, for more than necessary moments. My eyes travelled and followed her, as she elegantly and gracefully made her way and walked past the throng and to sit herself on one of the stools present at the bar.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could make out John’s countenance ‘What-the-fuck-is-wrong-with-this-asshole’, and followed my gaze.

The bastard had goad to smirk and, shaking his head he turned to the bar.
John was aware of my, shall we say kind of obsession with Serena, but even he did not know the complete phase of the story.

Conspicuously, he don’t need to know that.

Departing from John and not informing him of my precise course of action, I walked straight to my psychiatrist, who for now is the one giving my nerves a hard time.

Walking right behind her, I inclined my body enough to be at same level so as to reach her ears. My lips were close enough to her pinna to graze them with my hot breath and inhale her sweet, heady, intoxicating, vanilla like fragrance, but not enough to touch them.

“Hello psycho doctor, was not expecting to see you here.”
As if had entered an alert mode, she tout de suite, turned to face me, her red-painted lips inches away from mine.

And suddenly every other sound circumambienting us, hushed. As if we both have entered soundless, snail’s pace mode of time.

It took every single ounce of self control I had to hold myself back and not to incline my head just enough so as to crash mine lips to those curved red lush and get the addictive taste of them. Will they taste the same way they are imparting the sweet smell off? Or are they as soft as they seems off.
And seconds later, that particular moment passed.

Brushing those not so decent thoughts off my brain, I tried to get back hold of myself and place my assiduousness back to the lady at my front. I clearly saw a wave of surprise swapping her face, not before were replaced by same lust and intensity hooding my eyes.

Clearing my throat, I straightened and even Serena got down the stool and a weird awkwardness yawned and stretched in between us by the ‘almost-kiss’.

Serena was first one to cope up with the prior event of awkwardness and chirped in her regular voice.

“Hello Mr.  Gray. Celebrating weekend?”

And my thought ran back to everything i have turned a blind eye to till now.

John’s presence and his for sure fixated gaze at our close proximity.

I slowly but steadily turned my head to see John, whose face was covered with amusement and arching his left brow, he looked at me with innocent questioning look.

Ignoring his smart ass, I turned my attention back to Serena.

“Yupp with John.”

“Oh.”

Serena eye’s cast around for him, getting hold of whom across the room, she smiled at him as a gesture of greet who in return lifted his glass.

I was cognizance of them being acquaintance, what I didn’t knew was this close.

John was the one who searched for Serena on my demand, in this big world and was the one who made appointments on my behalf.

I looked back at John with a scowl and grimace who passed me ‘try to ruin my next weekend and I’ll snavel her from you’ look.
Disregarding him, I placed my concentration back on Serena.

“You never answered my question?”

I looked briefly at her curious big round eyes, before again throwing a question at her direction.
