A longer chapter for you all ;)

So, it turns out that Daniel had been turned into a vampire. Of all things, I was not expecting to meet my first vampire who was a fledgling, gay and Fred's mate. Vampires had mates, similar to werewolves, but for vampires they are called 'fated ones' and after Dan had been turned, he had met Fred and George who helped him through his changes. His sire had abandoned him which was against Vampire law since it could kill the fledgling, this is what Lucian had told me.

Vowing that I would hunt the sire down myself if I had too but Vampire laws were extremely strict. Since I was also a protector, I had a duty to get Daniel integrated within a vampire clan and I knew that Lucian could help with that. I was due to meet up with the vampire queen but it had to be withheld because of an altercation she had to deal with last minute and we did not find the time in recent months to reschedule.

As it seems I would be meeting with her soon as if anything that Lucian has told me about her, she did not take well to vampire laws being broken. Intrigued to meet her as I was, it would have to wait until I had my meeting with Tom. I knew that the library back home would be updated so I would have to do some research. Deciding to go towards the library, I kissed Bella on the cheek before I got up and left. Quickly entering the relaxing space, spotting the book on a higher shelf; I flicked my wrist with a silent 'Accio' and it flung itself into my hand. Perching down in the leather chair that was set up in the corner I got to reading The Living Dead by All you need to know by John Elson 1893.

I am the wizarding world's greatest vampire hunter John Elliot Elson. My family was renowned for hunting down these vile creatures throughout generations. My bloodline vowed to hunt and protect those who were unaware of these creatures that roamed at night. These living dead or otherwise known as Vampires are creatures that stalk the night and feed on those who are sleeping or those unlucky enough to caught outside alone, feasting on the blood that runs through our veins. Vampires are tough beasts but are killable with the right skills and training. Weakness's include:

-Sunlight/fire -A stake
-Garlic -Blesse silver
-Crosses -Holy water

Vampires can be known as dark magical creatures who also can be seen similarly to the undead otherwise known as zombies. However these dark creatures are known to be extremely pale and gaunt with fangs and eyes as black as the night itself. If you are to encounter such a creature then there is no hope for you unless you are a skilled hunter.

Rolling my eyes at the blatant narcissism and entitlement; I shouldn't be surprised in the amount of nonsense in this book though I thought Narcissa would have more information. Putting the book back, I recalled that Lucian had updated the library so I summoned the book I was thinking of to my hands, and it appeared with some use of ancient magic.

The true nature of Vampires.

The Vampire kind are a powerful species. Once human, they were infected by a vampire through a bite that would drain them of most of their blood and then the vampire would feed them their own blood. During this near death state the infected one would feel pain as their organs began shutting down; adapting to their new body. Unlike the misconception of vampires, they appear an almost human apart from the fangs that can be seen. They can eat food but will need blood to sustain themselves. If they do not feed then they will go into a more feral state, giving into their bloodlust.

Vampires have been around for a millennium and due to the ever changing world in both the muggle and wizarding world, they have to adapt and bring about laws for their kind to remain hidden. They are seen throughout the world as dark creatures due to misconceptions made by those who came into contact with Feral vampires.

Types of vampires

Feral vampires are vampires that have been left to starve or without their Sire for a long period of time. It is highly dangerous for a fledging to be without a Sire in their first year of being turned. It is also against Vampire law and is punishable by death. Feral's can only think of blood, a never ending hunger is all that consumes them. Once past the point of no return, they are lost forever to the starvation.

A Sire or adoptive Sire is the one who has turned a fledging, a newly turned vampire, and is required to look after the fledging. Teaching them how to survive, use their powers, respect the vampire laws and feed. Usually a fully-fledged vampire will uphold the law that is mandatory within their own kind and follow the rules of being a Sire for a fledgling. An adoptive Sire is a vampire that has taken on a abandoned fledgling or taken in a fledging who's Sire has died before completing their transition into a fully-fledged vampire.
'Being a Sire can be the greatest gift, as if you have your own child'-An unknown Vampire, 1981

A fledgling is a vampire that is newly turned, one that is still transitioning from human to vampire and until they have properly fed; they are still human. If they don't feed within 24hrs then they die or if they are abandoned by their sire then they may die within the year.

Halfling is a half vampire half human meaning that they can survive on human food or blood alone. They posses the enhanced sense of a vampire such as sight, smell and hearing; however they are not as durable as vampires. They also have no bloodlust.

A fully fledged vampire is one that has completed its transition from human to undead.

A master vampire is a undead creature that can be centuries old, usually the ones in power like a council member. Their magic has also increased in power with age.

An Elder one or Elder vampire is an original vampire and are extremely powerful beings. Being the oldest sire's and creating many covens.

There is also Covens that help protect and strengthen a vampire. Covens work to maintain order and avoid detection within the Muggle world. A Coven leader can also assign a Sire to Fledging without one, making sure that they become a fully-fledged Vampire.

Traits

Different eyes colours can help differentiate between vampires, some being more powerful.

Orange-Fledgling vampire: are newly turned
Red-Fully-fledged vampire: Completed the transition
Blue-Master vampire: A powerful vampire, usually a vampire that has been around for centuries.
Black- Elder vampire or Elder one: The most powerful vampires known to existence, vampires that are the original ones.

Feeling Bellatrix before I felt her press against my back. "What are reading my pretty?" Sighing as the book snapped shut and sinking back into Bella. "Vampires. We're going to have to go to a Coven to help Daniel, knowing that Lucian has already organised a meeting with them as well it just make sense. On the other hand, I got these trials coming up and I can't seem to stop the stress." Bella turned me around to face her, glancing and seeing a determination in her beautiful brown eyes. "Listen to me muddy. You are my soulmate, the strength we share is immeasurable; you are the most powerful alpha in the entire world muddy. We are fated to bring the world into a new age and nothing can stop us."

Warmth filled my heart and I couldn't help but lean in and plant a soft kiss on her lips. The world around us seemed to disappear and it felt like it was just us. Pulling away before it could go any further I said, "I love you Bellatrix." Emotions filled our bond from the both of us, so much love and trust. "I love you my pretty." A pause before she continued, "Now chin up pup, you have some catching up to do." I couldn't help but stare as she walked off. Merlin I am one lucky woman.
