Daniel wouldn't stop fidgeting and nerves were rolling off him in waves. I had asked Lucian where we were and he smirked saying, "Surely you can figure out where we are young one? How is it the muggles say...a stereotype?" Transylvania. Of course. it couldn't get any more stereotypical with the oldest vampire's being situated in where the rumours started. Fred and George followed behind, Fred closely behind Daniel even if he was only human; he still could feel his mate was nervous and scared. Lucian was not wrong about it fitting into a stereotype of vampires.

The area we had gone to was covered in a thick expanse of tree, an seemingly endless forest. The castle in front of it was as stereotype as you could get with vampires, at least in the muggle stories I would hear when I was little. A brief feeling of sadness came over me as I remembered dressing up, funnily enough as a witch, and my adoptive father dressing up a vampire.

Flashback

Giggles could be heard throughout the house as a young girl with curly brown hair dressed as a witch ran past her mother. "I vant to suck vur bloooood!" Her father ran after the young girl, a cloak bellowing behind him, fake fangs poking past his lips. "Hermoine, David be careful! Come on you two, we got some trick or treating to do!" A little Hermione screamed out in joy, shouting "SWEETS!" David laughed, walking up to Jean as Hermione excitedly picked up a pumpkin bowl, then running up to her parents tugging of her father's cloak. Jean dressed as a skeleton smiling down at her little girl with fondness stating as they walked outside "Don't eat too much, we don't want you to ruin your teeth!"

Flashback end

It was a fond memory but brushed it aside as we stopped in front of the doors. Lucian turned to us and said, "You have no need to be nervous Daniel, but do be respectful. They are some of the oldest friends and have a certain way of things." Daniel nodded and straightened up as if preparing himself. Lucian then turned to me, "Act as you will Hermione. I cannot interfere with what may happen. Some may not take to an Alpha being in their presence, as you know you still smell like a wolf, so you may have to show some dominance to prove you're not just a regular wolf but an Alpha." Before I could even think of a response the doors opened.

No one was at the door but Lucian entered with us following closely behind, obviously knowing where to go. The castle felt surprisingly warm with great big torches lining the hallway, lighting it up nicely; not that I needed it with my vision, however I felt it was more for the aesthetic but again was proven wrong when armoured knights and stone gargoyles looked down from above also lined the stoned hallway. It appears the Gargoyles are alive. Possibly for protection, could they get anymore medieval?

Soon arriving in what looked like an open room fit with a throne. Fitting the stereotype from the castles down to the thrones. I could also feel my wolf's amusement as well. The stench of citrus and death grew stronger as we stood before the thrones. Sat in them we two vampires, a male and a female not looking a day over thirty. At least I know the smell of a vampire now and it's not just Daniel that smell's citrusy.

The woman stood at around 5'9 and sensually walked towards us, "Lucian my friend, our meeting is not for another day or two?" Her eyes scanned us, lingering on me with curiosity and then looking at Daniel with understanding. "Mm never mind, it appears I've found the reason why." Her voice was melodic as it seemed to wash over us, alluring with the only one who seemed to be affected by it was George but even he looked as if he was resisting it, too busy staring at the woman besides the Queens throne. Lucian nodded in agreement and replied, "Yes, my apologies for arriving earlier than we intended my Queen but there is a matter that requires your attention."

The Vampire Queen herself was a slim build, dark golden hair that was tied up into a tight bun, a piercing set of bright blue eyes that seemed to stare deep into our souls. The lady was wearing a crimson corset dress that no doubt matched the colour of blood. A crown was placed upon her head, stained black and appeared to add to the dramatic flair. She would fit into what one would imagine a Vampire Queen would be. I also noticed a choker necklace that held the smell of blood tainted with the scent of death but matched the man who sat upon the other throne. Vampires smelt like death also, good to know. I showed no fear as the Queen latched onto my brown orbs, seemingly assessing me.

My wolf asserted her dominance but did not challenge, more so a show of respect. The Queen was pleased by this if the quirk of her blood red lips were anything to go by. "Interesting that you bring a fledging to my court Lucian and the very thing that stands a chance at killing us. Some would take this as a threat to our kind." He responded, "This fledging has been abandoned by his Sire, an-" Hisses and growls filled the air and the vampire Queens eyes flashed a glowing ice blue recalling that it meant she was a Master vampire which was no surprise considering she was THE vampire Queen.

"Then it appears we must find this fledging a replacement. Elizabeth, you shall take charge of this boy..." her voice making the vampires in the room straightened up. She turned towards Daniel with a commanding air about her expectantly waiting for him to say his name, he stuttered out, "Daniel Farewell ma'am." He dipped his cowboy hat in respect. Her eyes dimmed from her icy blue as she turned with a small smile on her face at his chivalry; summoning the woman, Elizabeth, to her side.

Elizbeth stood at 5'7, dark skinned, pitch black afro hair, and light hazel eyes. A mole above her top right-side of her lip was the only mark upon her face. Golden bands on her wrists, covering up to the human eye the wrist scars and golden earring. She was dressed in a near see through black dress, showing off her skinny but lean build; not at all shy about being naked underneath expect for wearing a thong that left nothing to the imagination. She was also completely barefoot. I could feel Bella in my mind, "mmm you look much better my pretty." Though I had no reason to be insecure it was still nice to have that small amount of reassurance.

Her voice sharp as she sternly stated but her hand gentle as they caressed his face like she would a kid, "Daniel my dear child, you shall be taught and I expect you to learn all our ways and respect our laws." She let Daniel take this information in before continuing, "Elizbeth is my advisor and someone who has lost her previous child to a hunter. I do not take kindly to those that disobey them. You get one chance, anything that you do that is out of order then you will be turned to ash. Do you understand?" Ignoring the threat to my pack mate as I know the law here was beyond my understanding at the moment. Daniel nodded in acceptance meanwhile Fred nudged George out of his enthralled staring. It seems as if she was also struggling to keep her eyes off George but accepted what her Queen asked her to do.

Elizbeth reached out towards Daniel, then nodded to Fred and George to follow as she walked out of the large throne room. It was then the man on the throne appeared besides the Queen, hand gently on her shoulder, he grinned with fangs on display. His voice deep with a accented drawl, "Do tell us dear Lucian why you have brought a wolf among us?" The man eyes black as he stood at 6'5, with a lean build dressed in a white dress shirt, black suit pants and oxford black shoes. The outfit was completed with a short black trench coat fitted with silver trims. Not showing my shock at standing before what would be the most powerful vampire in existence, I only felt admiration for the king and Queen.

A very Victorian look that he pulled off well paired with silver rings, one which I could also smell blood from which matched the scent of the Queen. 'Mates or fated ones to each other, the King and Queen of vampires. I released some of my magic as a sign of respect and power to match them and to show that I was no ordinary werewolf. That appeared to be a mistake as several vampires rushed from the shadows while the King and Queen stood completely still clearly knowing that Lucian would not bring a threat into their Coven. I dodged the claws as two vampires reached me first overhearing the king saying, "Oh I do love a good fight." Fitted with an evil gleeful grin.
