??? POV
The wizarding world was in chaos, the air was charged with excitement for some and fear for others. The loss of the world's greatest wizard caused a heavy blow. The dark forces stepped out of the shadows, no longer hiding, and taking over. Those who opposed were either being persuaded to join or hunted down. Most would join out of fear or as protection and those who foolishly went against the cause, well, they were hunted down and picked off one by one. All too blinded by the 'light' or their own pride. Many believe Voldemort has risen in power, when in reality, it is someone far greater than a simple half blood. I had finally been awoken now that the rightful heir had been chosen. I will continue to watch from afar to see how she handles the changes that are soon to come. Both her and her mate shall face a challenge like those before them and I can only hope they succeed. However, there is something different about these two. I can practically taste victory on my tongue, and I am excited to serve the Alpha again after so long but for now, I am content to watch from afar. She will find me when she is ready.
Hermione's POV
Blood fills my mouth and I growled out in content. I could smell another one of my prey and before it could notice me, my claws tore into its flesh, making it yell out in pain. The others noticed my presence. The prey held sticks as if it would protect them even though it did nothing to harm me. I basked in the fear that rolled of them in waves and pounced. The prey yelling out in agony.
Bolting upright, the feeling of hunger and glee dissipated, and I sighed running a hand down my face in frustration. Checking to make sure I had not awoken my mate; relieved to find that she was still asleep, I slid out of bed and made my way to the training room. I decided to meditate, attempting to clear my overthinking mind. This was the fifth dream this week, and it had started to become a daily occurrence, like a message was trying to reach me through these dreams but I did not know what that message was, and it was frustrating. I hated not knowing. The dreams felt more and more like memories rather than dreams as of late and I know I needed to speak to Lucian about them sooner rather than later, but I was enjoying the bliss I had found with being with my mate.
Entering the training room, I sat myself down on the mat crossed legged and started my exercises. Inhale. I slowly thought through my worries, this helped me destress. I knew I had to track down Harry and where he went, knowing that Ron had surely followed but I had no clues to where they had disappeared to. I had hoped that he would come to his senses after I had revealed what was behind the curtain so to speak, but I guess he needed more time to escape Dumbledores clutches. Not that I cared much, he had lost that the second he betrayed me for his own goals and wanting to impress the all 'amazing' Dumbledore. It was laughable that the two boys still think they can win against the so called 'dark side' which has been in power for years, right under the so-called greatest wizard of all time. I knew that Harry would have told everyone that I had joined Voldemort, killed Dumbledore and was Bellatrix's lover. Not that I had any shame, it has just caused some complication's in completing the tasks I had at hand. The main one from Tom in helping him track Harry down since he was now aware of his Horcruxes again thanks to Dumbledore. I had already rehidden Rowena Ravenclaw's crown here in Lucians collection which called out to me every time I entered or walked past. That was something that I neglected to tell anyone about, even my own mate because I wanted to figure it out on my own. Why something so powerful would call to me remains unknown but I do love a challenge.
There was also the other matter of protecting the Mythics and ensuring they are all agreement with the changes that will be happening. I have already drafted up legislations and laws ready to take place once the ministry is fully taken over which ensures the protection without me needing to be there when something goes wrong. The penalty of harming such creatures in any way will be punishable by execution. Those leaders that were in charge were aware that they were under my protection and became my eyes and ears within the wizarding world. People forget that wizards are not the only beings or creatures they have to be aware of. They believe that most Mythics are just beasts that cannot be domesticated nor lack understanding whereas they have been around for centuries, some before humans themselves. It still fascinates me how people were so ignorant of the beings that are so special and have been protecting both the wizarding world and the muggle worlds since the beginning of time. I knew I wanted to explore the hidden world however I also knew I needed to protect those that are under threat first before I can explore. It was almost overwhelming how much I needed to do, but it was nothing I could not handle even though I still felt as if I had such a heavy burden to do my best. Exhale.
I felt Bella's presence before she even stepped into the training room. "I'm disappointed to wake up alone my pretty, but I feel your worry." I opened my eyes and smiled at my gorgeous mate who stood in the doorway, I responded "Well my sincerest apologies Bella." Concern filtered through her gaze, and she softly spoke. "Talk to me." I laid back waiting for Bella to join before I ranted. She joined me on the floor, my lips quirking into a smile as she laid close to my side, and I pulled her into my body. "I had another dream. They have started to feel more and more like memories, and I can't help but worry why they have decided to show up now." "Maybe they are. Have you spoke to Lucian about them yet." I chewed my lip anxiously before saying no. Bella released a sigh but said "I think you should. You know he will help the best he can. What else is worrying you, my pretty?" I knew I could not hide much from Bella and knew I had to tell her about all of my worries, but I selfishly enjoyed the bliss we are having.
I focused upon telling her my main worries first. "I need to maintain a way to keep the Mythics with their freedom but under protection. I also have no clue where to begin looking for Harry since he had decided to vanished off the face of the earth and yet he knows the truth but decides to carry on Dumbledores stupid idea that Voldemort is evil. I mean he is not totally wrong, but it is so frustrating Bella. I simultaneously want to hex him and shake some sense into the brainwashed brat. Ron I will gladly tear to pieces the-" I was cut off when Bella straddled my hips and silencing me with a kiss. My chaotic mind quieting as all I could feel was Bella.
I groaned as she pulled away, biting my bottom lip. "Muddy, muddy, muddy. You need to realise this will take time. Not everything can be solved straight away. It has only been a couple weeks since the take over began. If anyone can do these things, it is you. I'm not mated to an incompetent witch now, am I?" I chuckled and replied "I suppose. And that was mean." She gained a wicked gleam in her beautiful dark brown eyes as she leant down and whispered, "Oops" I let out a gasp as she dragged her nails down my abdomen, down to the waistband of my shorts. She suddenly hopped up and laughed as she ran away "Aw poor muddy." That snapped me out of my daze as my wolf awakened with an urge. I leapt after my laughing mate my mind now thoroughly distracted by the beauty before me.
