Kyianna's POV
Nagising ako na parang may mabigat na nakadagan sa ulo ko. I swear, feeling ko'y nabangungot ako sa lahat ng ginawa ko kagabi. Pagtingin ko sa phone, alas-nuwebe na pala ng umaga.
Napa-panic na sana ako dahil baka late na ako, but then, naalala kong Sabado pala ngayon.
Whew.
Lumingon ako sa paligid at na-realize ko na nasa guest room pala ako sa bahay ni Luhence.
Napabuntong-hininga ako. Ganito na ba ako ka-comfortable dito?
Just as I was processing everything, the door creaked open, revealing Luhence holding a breakfast tray with his signature smug grin. Nakakainis na nakakakilig all at once.
"Oh, finally awake. Good morning, sisiw," sabi niya, with that teasing look in his eyes that I both hated and... okay, maybe enjoyed a little.
"Seriously? Sisiw? Sa dinami-dami ng pwede mong tawag sa akin, 'sisiw' pa talaga?" I raised my eyebrow, trying not to crack a smile. But, of course, he noticed.
He sat at the edge of the bed, crossing his arms, clearly ready to annoy me.
"Well, it suits you, don't you think? Small, cute, and kinda... clumsy."
His smirk grew wider, obviously enjoying every second.
"Wow, thanks ha," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Baka gusto mo na rin akong tawaging 'duckling' para buo na?"He chuckled, leaning a bit closer, and I could feel his gaze on me.
"Hmm, tempting. But I think 'sisiw' is perfect. Plus, seeing you get all flustered is just a bonus."
Oh my god. Hindi ko alam kung gusto kong magtago o tumawa, pero syempre, I chose to act unbothered.
"Whatever," sabi ko, trying to sound casual.
"By the way... bakit nga pala ako natulog dito?"
He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.
"You were pretty wasted last night. Kept telling everyone you weren't drunk, pero let's just say... you didn't really convince anyone." Tumawa siya, clearly remembering every embarrassing moment.
I groaned and buried my face in my hands.
"Seriously? Bakit ba ganito lagi kapag lasing ako..."
He laughed again, but when I looked up, he was watching me with that amused expression.
"Did you just say something?"
"Wala!" I quickly replied.
"Sabi ko lang... nagugutom ako, okay?"He grinned, clearly entertained.
"Good thing I made breakfast then. After you eat, freshen up. We're going out."
