Kyianna's POV

Habang papalapit kami sa bahay, pakiramdam ko tuluyang bumaba ang lahat ng tension sa katawan ko. Ang keychain na binigay ni Luhence ay nasa kamay ko pa rin-parang souvenir ng day namin na out of the blue, sobrang saya at relaxed. Something na pwede kong i-hold onto kahit ang dami ng gumugulo sa buhay ko.

I clutched the keychain a bit tighter, thinking about today. Who would've thought we'd actually have a day that didn't feel complicated?

I sighed to myself, a little hopeful that maybe things could stay this way. Pero alam kong masyadong idealistic 'yun lalo na sa sitwasyon namin.

Maglalakad na sana ako papasok nang makita ko ang isang maliit na package sa doorstep.

Nakabalot siya nang mabilisang pagkakagawa, at ang pangalan ko ay nakasulat sa top in messy, medyo galit na handwriting.

Napahinto ako at napakunot ang noo. Something about it felt off. Hindi siya mukhang ordinary delivery; it was...sinister in a way.

Napansin agad ni Luhence ang titig ko at sumunod ang tingin niya sa package.

"Did you order anything, or maybe a friend sent something?"

I shook my head slowly.

"Wala... and parang wala namang mag-iwan ng ganito randomly sa labas."

His brows furrowed, the hint of curiosity replaced by something more intense.

He took a step closer, his expression turning serious, almost wary.

Naramdaman ko na agad ang tension sa stance niya, parang on guard bigla.

Tinuro niya ako papasok, and I followed, pero bago pumasok, hindi ko mapigilan ang sarili ko. Lumapit ako sa package para i-check kung ano 'to.

"Careful," he murmured, but I just nodded. There was something in his voice, a warning. But I couldn't help myself.

I reached out to lift it, pero bigla akong nakaramdam ng sakit sa daliri ko.

"Aray!"

Napaigtad ako, letting go of the box as I looked at my finger. Blood started pooling on my fingertip may blade pala sa loob, barely visible against the packaging.

My heart pounded as fear crept in.

Sino ang maglalagay ng blade sa loob ng package? And why was it addressed to me?

"What happened?" Bigla siyang nasa tabi ko, his gaze dark and intense upon seeing my cut. His eyes moved from my injured hand to the package, and an almost dangerous look flickered across his face.

"It's nothing. Just...a small cut," I said, kahit na kinabahan din ako.

May papel na nakaipit sa blade, so kinuha ko ito, kahit na nanginginig pa rin ako.

Slowly, I unfolded it, my heart pounding as I read:

"Some things aren't meant to be yours. Luhence isn't just anyone; he's mine. I know him in ways you'll never even come close to. This game you're playing? It won't last. When he finally sees through you, he'll come back to where he truly belongs... with me."

Parang binuhusan ako ng malamig na tubig.

Sino 'tong tao na nagpadala nito? And what did they mean by this message?

Sinilip ko si Luhence na ngayon ay kinuha na ang note, his jaw clenched tightly habang binabasa ito. I could see the anger simmering under his composed expression.
