February, 2022

Taylor had been meticulously planning a surprise baby shower for her wife, her Mallory, for weeks. With the help of Mallory's siblings and her mother, the intricate details of the event had been carefully coordinated. However, Taylor knew that pulling off the surprise required some strategic manoeuvring.

The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm and gentle glow over the bedroom. Mallory stirred, slowly awakening from her slumber. As her senses gradually came to life, she became aware of the soothing sound that filled the air-a melodic, tender lullaby.

Blinking her eyes open, Mallory turned her head to see Taylor sitting beside her on the bed, a look of pure adoration in her eyes. Taylor's hand gently rested on Mallory's round belly, fingers tracing delicate patterns as she softly sang a heartfelt song to their unborn baby.

Mallory's heart swelled with emotion as she watched Taylor, her voice a soothing melody that wrapped around them like a comforting embrace. The words of the lullaby seemed to resonate not only with their baby but also with the deep love that Mallory and Taylor shared.

"Morning, beautiful," Taylor whispered, her voice filled with affection as she noticed Mallory's gaze.

"Morning," Mallory replied, her voice hushed as she smiled at Taylor's loving gesture. "You're singing to the baby."

Taylor nodded, her eyes shining with tenderness. "I wanted to make sure our little one knows that I'm a singer, and to feel the love we have for them even before they're born."

Mallory reached out, her fingers gently threading through Taylor's hair. "It's a beautiful way to start the day," she murmured, her heart fluttering with a mixture of happiness and awe.

As Taylor continued to sing, the room seemed to hold a sense of serenity, a quiet moment of connection that transcended the boundaries of time and space. Mallory's gaze shifted to her belly, where their baby rested, cocooned in the safety of their shared world.

"I hope our baby knows how lucky they are," Mallory whispered, her voice tinged with emotion.

Taylor's eyes met Mallory's, and a soft smile graced her lips. "And I hope they know how lucky we are to have them," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity.

The lullaby flowed like a gentle stream, the words and melody intertwining to create a timeless symphony of love and anticipation. Mallory felt a profound sense of connection with both Taylor and their unborn child, a bond that was nurtured by these simple yet profound moments.

Eventually, as the lullaby came to a gentle close, Taylor leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Mallory's belly, a tender gesture of affection for their baby. Mallory's heart swelled as she watched Taylor, her eyes brimming with tears of happiness and gratitude.

"I was thinking, how about we do something special today? Just the two of us."

Mallory blinked sleepily, her eyebrows lifting in curiosity. "Special? Like what?"

Taylor's lips curled into a mischievous smile. "Well, there's this cinema I've heard about. They have these really nice sofas, and I thought it could be a fun treat. We could catch a movie and enjoy a nice morning together."

Mallory's interest was piqued. She loved spending quality time with Taylor, and the idea of a cinema experience sounded intriguing. "That sounds wonderful, actually. Which movie are they showing?"
