Rose POV

Soft winds blew on the back of my neck telling me Isaiah left the school building with me still in his arms. As much as I want to be away from him, I have to admit being in his arms right now is the most comforting thing I've ever felt. Nothing or no one has ever made me feel like this.

As much as he scares me and as much as I hate him, being in his arms does things to me. Isaiah from the start scared me. The way he looks, the way he dresses is just so intimidating and not to mention he's a hybrid. He's one of the strongest beings alive, if not is the strongest.

The fights he gets into, not once has he ever looked like the other guy. Some of them unrecognisable after Isaiah is done with them. He's satan himself not caring what he does and doesn't give a shit about the consequences. Not that anyone can do anything about him. Everyone fears him.

We soon stop and Isaiah adjusts me in his arms. He makes my legs wrap around his waist as he sits me on his hip as he continues to walk. I look up only to see woods surrounding us, trees that seem never ending in every direction.

"W-where are you t-taking me?" I whimper out. Tears still rolling down my cheeks soaking his jacket.

"Away." He answers briefly. His clipped tone has me pursing my lips so no sound would escape. I don't want him to hurt me, as much as these hands comfort me right now I know the damage they can do.

After a few more minutes of walking, Isaiah stopped and moved me to his front again. Leaning against a tree, he slowly moved down it, soon leaving him sitting on the ground. I sat on Isaiah's thighs looking down at my hands as I fiddled with my fingers anxiously between us.

My hair hung around me somewhat shielding me from everything around me. I flinched a little when I saw a hand rise to my face. Ignoring it, Isaiah continues to raise his hand to my face pushing my hair behind my ear. My eyes flicker to his seeing him staring at me intensely. His dark orbs taking in every inch of my face.

"I want you." He whispers, repeating his words from earlier.

"You can't have me." I muttered lowly back.

"Why not?" His brows furrow as a dark look takes over his face. "Tell me why I can't have you?"

I open and close my mouth not knowing what to say. What could I say? He doesn't understand that I'm frightened of him, that I don't like it when he randomly comes up to me in the corridors. He catches me off guard and I freak out having his giant of a man stare down at me.

His muscled arms encasing me and I just freak out. Not being able to move, not that I could if wanted to because he's so strong. And just the way he looks, he's so good looking it's intimidating. There is no one like him in our school, no one. His looks beat everyone else's, his voice is so deep and beautiful anyone would want to sit and listen to him talk.

As much as he is like that to me, he still scares me. I'm scared he could snap like he does with the boys and hits them. If he does it to them he could easily do it to me. That's what makes me stay away, to keep clear of him. If he didn't scare me as much as he did, I would definitely be attracted to him.

"I have a mate out there somewhere. He's waiting for me just like I'm waiting for him. I never know when he could come along and I need to be ready." I tell him hoping it'd make him leave me alone.

"And what are you going to do if I'm your mate? Still run away from me every chance you get? Get Elodie and them other girls to keep you away from me? Tell me sunshine, what are you going to do if I'm your mate?" He enquires.

"I-I." I gasped out not knowing what to say. What if he is my mate? "You're not. So you can't have me."

"I guess we'll see in a couple months won't we?" He mutters.

"W-what?" I whisper.

"You forget I'm six months older than Elodie. Older than you, I find my mate much sooner than most. I guess we'll see in a couple months when I turn eighteen." He states.

"You're not." I whisper again. His thumb rubs back and forth on my cheek, the warmth of his hand igniting my skin.

"We'll see." He replies.

For a while we sit in silence. Nothing being said as we keep our eyes locked and Isaiah playing with my hair. His fingers running through the strands like I'm not sat here scared out of my mind. Yet the longer I stayed sat on him with his hand running through my hair, I couldn't help but relax at the feeling of him playing with my hair.

Isaiah soon placed his hand on my shoulder and guided me to lay on his chest. My cheek landed on his shoulder softly and he continued to run his fingers through my hair, every so often rubbing the tips on my scalp making me close my eyes from the relaxing feel of it.

"Isaiah." Someone shouted making me sit up in alert. They shouted again to which Isaiah shot up, his arms holding me up once again. And once again Isaiah was walking again while carrying me.

"What are you doing?" I asked him. "They're calling for us."

"No." He spat out. I flinched at his tone, the relaxed feeling long gone. Back to anxious and scared. The shouting of Isaiah's name now getting fainter the more he walked away from it.

And just when I thought he wouldn't let me go, Isaiah stopped in his tracks. I turned to look to see someone stood there. Elodie and Isaiah's father.

"It's time for Rose to go home now. Her parents are worried." He said.

"She's fine with me." Isaiah growled out. "She's safe, she doesn't need to go home at all. I can take care of her."

"Not out here son. Her parents are worried about her, okay. It's time for Rose to go home." His dad told him.

"She's fine out here." He spat out, I could feel him tremble in anger.

"Please." I whimper out. "I want to go home."

"Let's take her home, okay. You can see to that yourself." His dad said.

"No." Isaiah growled once again.
