Isaiah POV
"Sunshine." I whispered while kissing her shoulder. "It's time to wake up, we have to make sure you and the baby are okay."
"No, five more minutes." Rose whined.
I chuckled softly. "You said that five minutes ago. Time isn't gonna stand still because you want sleep, my love. We have to get going soon."
Letting out another whine, Rose opened her eyes and gave me a cute glare. All I could do was stare at her with a smile on my face, eventually getting one back.
"Why do you stare at me like that?"
"Because you're so beautiful and cute and amazing." I smiled leaning down to kiss her. "Come on, I'll drive so you don't have to walk."
"And get a McFlurry on the way home?" Rose asked.
"We can get a McFlurry on the way home." I smiled with a light chuckle.
With fatigue hitting Rose like a train she's always sleeping. If we're at her house, at mine, breaks at school. Any chance she can get a nap in she will as well as getting ten hours sleep at night as well. Not that I'm complaining because she's always the cuddly type, but I know we can't always be hidden away in our bedrooms, she needs to get out and about, get fresh air.
Half an hour later we're downstairs eating breakfast that my mum so generously made us. She knows how Rose feels about being hungry all the time, so she made Rose a good, filling breakfast.
"If it's anything like that chunk over there it'll make you eat every minute of every day." My mum said pointing at me. "Throughout my pregnancy with Isaiah all I did was eat and sleep. Blood bags were a must as well, if it wasn't bacon and egg sandwiches I was craving it was that."
"Blood bags?" Roses eyes widened.
Everyone stayed silent not saying anything. Sure there's a chance the kid could be like me, but there's a chance it won't be. I'm half wolf, Rose is full wolf so there's a chance it won't have a vampire side. Not like my family. I know my dad and I drink more blood than my mum and sister, but this is different. My parents are both hybrids, I am but Rose isn't.
Am I just fooling myself? I couldn't ever imagine Rose drinking blood even if it's for the baby. It's not like her at all. But would she go that far?
"I mean it's definitely something I expected in my pregnancy considering what we are. If the kid is anything like it's father then I would definitely take blood into consideration as a craving. I'm not a big drinker of it but it's not as bad as you think it is. I hate it straight from the bag so Alec would cook in things like lasagna, bolognese, you know food like that so it's mixed in with meat." My mum said.
"It won't come to that. You won't have to do any of that." I told Rose.
"It's just an idea, Isaiah. Your mum isn't saying it'll happen but just in case. Always take everything in to consideration." My dad stated.
"We have to get going, make sure she's alright." I said standing up leaving the rest of my food. "Are you ready, sunshine?" I look down at her.
"No, I'm still hungry." Rose looked up at me with a look in her eyes. That look that tells me she needs me to calm down because it's not a big deal and I need to get her food. I look at my watch to see we need to be at the clinic in fifteen minutes.
"We've got fifteen minutes, my love. We need to get going. I'll take us to get something after." I told her.
"Good luck, guys." My mum smiled and walked around the table to hug us both. She whispers something lowly in Rose's ear that I couldn't quite catch. My mother knows how to talk to someone without people hearing and she's mastered it. If she doesn't want you knowing you don't, a trick she refuses to teach the rest of us.
We all say our goodbyes and Rose and I get in my car. The ride is silent for a few minutes before I break it. "What did she say to you?"
"Not much." Rose shrugged. "Just said that I shouldn't worry about anything, I'll be okay."
I stayed silent now having my doubts. Knowing what I am why would I put Rose through that. Is she strong enough? I know she's a wolf but vampires have that upper hand, wolves have weak spots, it's not easy but they still get sick. What if the kid is more vampire than wolf and it's too strong for her body to take? Look at her now, she's sleeping all the time.
Upon getting to the clinic, I park the car and we head inside. Rose takes my hand and gives me a smile that I can't help but relax at. We check in and take a seat while we wait for the doctor to call us. Unlike us, we sit in silence. I don't even know what to say to her, how can I make her feel better about this? It's not like any of us have been in this position before so what can I actually do.
Rose squeezes my hand getting me to look at her. "Don't stress. It'll be okay." I let out a deep breath through my nose but don't say anything. I still don't know what to say.
"Rose Winchester." The doctor called, we both stood up and followed her to the room. She told Rose to get up on the bed and lift her T-shirt. I stood to the side of her so I wasn't in the way and the doctor could do what she needed to do.
"I'm going to put some gel on your belly now. Just a warning it might be a little cold." She said. Rose nodded and laid still. After five minutes the doctor smiled and showed us the screen and pointed. "There's the pup."
"Oh wow." Rose smiled, her eyes stuck on the screen. When I looked I felt that sting of tears in my eyes. I mean there wasn't much to see but knowing what it is and what it's going to grow into I could help but want to cry at the sight. I never thought I'd meet someone let alone an amazing woman like Rose and I certainly never thought I'd have any children yet here I am with both.
"What do you think, dad?" The woman asked me.
"I uh, I'm, I don't know." I managed to croak out not being able to tear my eyes from the little thing that is my child. Mine and Rose's.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Let me know what you think.
