Isaiah POV
Sighing, I sit in my car undecided to either drive away or walk up to the house and go in. I know Elodie's at school so it'll just be mum or both my parents. Last night I stayed with Rose, but I had to leave early in the morning when I heard her parents get up. I left leaving a kiss on her head before I jumped out of her window, closing it behind me and shifting back to my wolf.
Then I got to my camp, got dressed and grabbed everything before walking to my car and now here I am. Still choosing wether to ignore what I need to do and run off again or face it. I pull my keys from the car and get out, shutting the door behind me.
Once I'm at the door, I open it and enter my home. The familiar smell hitting me full force making me realise just how much I've missed it here. The woods is great, but there's nothing like home. I hear the tv on so I make my way to the living room where I see my mum and dad cuddled up on the sofa with a blanket.
As soon as my mum sees me, she's takes a double look before she's up on her feet. Tears falling down her cheeks as she pulls me to her, her arms squeezing me tightly. More than she's ever held me before. Her sobs fill my ears as I wrap my arms around her.
"Don't you ever fucking leave like that again." My mum cried. "I don't know what you were thinking when you left. You have no idea how worried I've been. If you ever pull something like that again I'll hunt you down and make sure you never leave this house again."
"I'm sorry." I tell her and put my nose in to the crook of her neck. "I won't leave like that again."
"You better not." She cried letting go of me.
"No, you better not." My dad said and hugged me as well. I shook my head and hugged him back just as much as he did. "You scared the fucking shit out of me, Isaiah. I'm serious, never do that to again. If any child of mine kills me it'd be you by giving me a heart attack."
"I know." I whispered and we pulled away. "Where's Elodie?"
"At school. She'll be home in a couple hours. Her and her friends are having a sleepover." My mum told me. I nodded and sat down. "Get off my sofa. I don't know where you've been but you stink, so go and shower. Then you can sit with us." I laughed and stood up before pulled my mum back to me and hugging her.
"Get off me, you smelly boy." She laughed and playfully pushed me away from her. I kissed her cheek then made my way up the stairs to my bedroom. I showered, scrubbing my skin raw so I'd get the smell of dirt off of me. I can see why my mum wouldn't hug me, I absolutely stink.
Once my skin was red, I turned off the shower smelling of shower gel and wrapped a towel around my waist. When I got to my room, I grabbed some clothes to put on and started drying myself. I got dressed and made my way back downstairs. For a couple hours I sat with my parents watching whatever they put on the tv. Mainly my dad putting shows on as he seems to watch more stuff than my mum.
When I finally had enough and was ready to retreat to my bedroom, the front door opened and Elodie came running in to the house. Her eyes landed on me, relief filling her eyes as she stared at me. And before anyone could say anything, she jumped on me crushing me in a hug.
"What the fuck are you doing?" I asked weirded out by my sisters actions. People walking in caught my attention, I look and see Rose and another girl stood there. My little sunshine having a wide grin on her beautiful face as she looked at Elodie and me.
"I'm hugging my big brother because he had me scared shitless." Elodie muttered still not letting go of me.
"Okay. Can you let go now?" I frowned not liking how close she is.
"No. You can sit here until I'm ready to let you go. You really had me worried, Isaiah. Don't ever fucking pull something like that again." She said.
"Language, Elodie." My dad growled.
"Alec." My mum glared at him.
"I'm so sorry, Isaiah. I don't know how to make it up to you by saying what I said. It was wrong of me and it was way out of line, I shouldn't have said it. And for that I'm so sorry." She muttered to me.
"You can make it up to me by getting off." I shrugged. Elodie sighed but nonetheless got off me. Once she got off, I couldn't help but look at Rose and keep my eyes on her. Slowly, her cheeks started to turn rosy as she looked down so she couldn't see me.
"So what are you doing tonight?" My mum asked the girls.
"Probably face masks, paint our nails. You know, girly shit like that." Elodie shrugged. "Don't know, might even go on our phones and not say a word to each other the whole night. Or we might gossip we don't know."
"Sounds fun." Mum smiled.
"Well I'm taking your mum out so Isaiah will be here if you need anything. I'll give him some money so you can all get food so go out, order in, whatever." Dad added.
"What?" Elodie frowned.
I looked down knowing she doesn't want me to be here. Even though she said sorry for saying what she said I know she meant every word of it. She doesn't want me here and I know it's because Rose is here and I'd do something weird or what she thinks is weird.
"Elodie." My mum sighed.
"It's okay, Elodie. I'll go out. I won't be in your hair." I forced a smile and stood up.
"Isaiah, I didn't mean it like that." She sighed.
"It's okay. I know what you meant. You know seeing as I'm a burden and all I seem to do is harass your friend. I'll leave and you guys can have the run of the house without your embarrassment of a brother being here." I shrugged and started to walk away.
"Isaiah." Elodie sighed again. "You know that's not what I meant. It's not very often your here. It's just a surprise that your here tonight is all."
I scoffed a little and smiled. "Yeah, okay, El. I'm sure that's what you meant." I said and left the room going up to mine.
So much for reconnecting with my family.
Hope your enjoying it so far.
